Wish i could give it a 0 but can't. I have never been a fan of BerryHill but this put the final nail in the coffin. So we arrived and asked about happy hour specials since nothing was posted when we walked in and the counter lady just said yes. I had to pry the happy hour specials out of her. To their credit the beer specials were posted but you had to walk past the counter on your way to the chips which are good (I would hope they would be hard to mess up) and look at the napkin holder and the beer specials were posted there. So we met up with another couple and ordered some margaritas, tamales, and tacos. The margaritas tasted like Vodka flavored water. One would like it would at least taste like tequila. The tamales were the worse thing ever. I ordered 3 types and the couple we were with tried them also to make sure I was not being bias and they thought they were horrible also. The other couple ordered tacos which looked good but you would have been better off going to Taco Bell and getting them there because they weren't anything special. The other couple got another margarita this time using top shelf tequila and it wasn't any better. Since my margarita was horrible I ordered a beer, you can't mess that up right? It tasted horrible also. I would guess 1 of 2 things either the lines needed to be cleaned or the keg was old. Either way I...

I’m irritated with this place because I feel that the to-go orders aren’t being double-checked or they’re trying to get over on people (this thought has occurred to me because of my experience with a cashier).

This place has “forgotten” to put something in my bag twice in a row now. The first time, I was missing rice, and the second time I wasn’t given chips for the second order that I placed. Although, the cashier looked directly in the bag before handing it to me.

I had to go back inside & ask for the second bag of complimentary chips, but I was given no salsa for it. Apparently, only one complimentary salsa is given. It doesn’t matter how much food you ordered. Which doesn’t make sense at all. What’s the point of giving a bag of chips per order if the appropriate amount salsa isn’t given as well. Not to mention, I recall my family & I getting salsa for every chip bag given, so I do not believe the cashier was being honest with me. If she was being honest, this place needs to give an appropriate amount of salsa per serving of chips.

I’ve never had a problem ordering food from this place until the last few times I’ve come. Service is definitely not the same. I’ll probably be giving this place a break for a little while. I love their...

One of my favorite places for tacos. I ordered Grilled and Fried Fish Tacos. I did not like the service from the person who was placing the order at the register. I thought she was rude and unfriendly and on top of that she got our order wrong. I wanted to speak to the manager but she said she was the only manager on duty that night. I don't like that everything is "going online" or "automated" making it difficult to find jobs but in this case I would have much rather placed the order my self. To make things worse we sat a table less than 10 ft away and coukd hear her interactions with other patrons. She was friendly and she even asked them if they would like any additional side item. So I gave her another chance and went to place a order for a couple of tortillas. Mind you she already knows that she made a mistake on the order and gave a matter of fact half heart apology. She rang up the tortillas and it was like less than sixty cents. I shook my head.

I used to frequent this place a lot in the past and I often wondered what happened to the weekend and late night happenings there. I know people may have their bad days but I was there celebrating my birthday with my daughter and I had such grand...

A timeless sanctuary for anyone seeking authentic and incredibly satisfying Mexican fare. This hole-in-the-wall has an uncanny ability to make everyone feel like a local, offering a homey atmosphere that is perfect for family outings or catching an Astros game on the TV. Let's talk about the fish tacos. The fish is coated in a light yet crunchy tempura batter that pairs perfectly with the fresh, handmade tortillas. Every bite offers a harmonious blend of crispiness and softness, all bursting with flavors that dance on your palate. This is not just food; it's an experience, especially when washed down with a frosty Blue Moon beer. Beyond the tacos and the highly acclaimed tamales—each a masterpiece of flavor and texture—the staff is always friendly, making you feel part of the BerryHill family. So whether you're a longtime resident or a newcomer to Houston, BerryHill Baja Grill is a must-visit culinary gem you'll want to return to time and time again.

I've not been to Berryhill in 12 years. I came to visit Houston and found out they closed all their locations except this one. Although I was rather disappointed to hear this, I wanted to give it a try again. They advertised the Friday Fish Tacos. These were always a favorite including their queso. The fish tacos are $3 every Friday. I ordered two and forgot how humongous the portions are just for one. That's worth the price. Still crispy, filling and delicious as it always was. The 4 oz queso was another story. Still consistently good, but rather a sad morsel for nearly $4. I asked for a small and the woman behind the counter literally gave me a small. I thought she sold me the 7 oz. The 4 oz wasn't enough and I was given broken chips with it...

Long lines, get literally everything yourself (except food is delivered to your table), good for adult only whoo can get everything and own refills (even at buffets they have wait staff to at least give you drink refills- And are cheaper) not really kid friendly restaurant. I was a first timer and it was clear that I was, the lady that took my order didn't even ask me if I was, didn't even direct me where 2 get anything. My stomach hurt after I ate the food, went to their bathroom and the bathroom was horrible! No one asked us if we needed booster, high chairs, refills anything that's why you literally get it yourself.
