I wanted to get my sister and I a sandwich, so when I went up there to finally order I started off with my sister’s order. The lady asked me if I wanted a foot long or a 6 inch and I told her foot long. I told her what meat and she toasted the sandwich, so I then told her my order. A guy came out and took a 6 inch out the oven and I was confused, because I didn’t ask for that. The guy asked me what I wanted for the toppings and I kindly told him that I wanted a foot long. The lady that just took my order quickly said “you said a 6 inch” and I replied saying “no, I said a foot long”. She didn’t even own up to her mistake and just repeated herself by telling me “no you said 6 inch”. You’d think they would remake the sandwich all together, right? No. They cut off half of another bread(same bread that was on the I guess suppose to be foot long) and added the same meat on that one and called it a foot long. I was so confused on why they did that instead of just remaking it BOTH the guy and lady said “it’s a foot long” no shit two 6 inches makes a foot long, but why do that instead of remaking it?? I told them this and they called the I guess manager? They told her the situation and she just immediately said “yeah it’s a foot long”. I was getting more upset now, because I was going back and forth with 3 people that just didn’t want to own the mistake the lady made and just REMAKE the sandwich. After they put the toppings on my sandwich (they were heating up the other slice of that sandwich at the time) and afterwards I moved over to the check out since I just wanted to leave at that point forgetting about my sister’s sandwich in that moment. The manager then asked me if I wanted anything on my sister’s sandwich which I said “oh, yes please” since I forgot about it. This GROWN woman threw her hands by her side as if she was a child. The fact she was doing all that at her big grown age is actually insane. And let me not forget that they didn’t even secure the sandwiches after wrapping it (those stickers they use to keep it closed) and just threw my sister’s sandwich in the wrapping any...
Read moreI came in about 9:30am today. A guy peeped out and saw me but didn’t acknowledge me. So I entry to the bathroom. When I came out. I saw a man working on inventory in the back. I waited another 2-3 minutes. He still didn’t notice me. So I went outside and in so the door bell would ring. He then peeped his head out but I had to wait another 5 minutes before he acknowledged me.
This man was probably mid 30’s with a beard and a white streak in the middle of his beard. When he finally acknowledged me he asked “What kind of bread do you want?” I told him wheat and then asked him how it was going. That was met with no response. So he kept making my sandwich, and I asked him “Busy morning?” This was also ignored. So finally I asked, “How’s it going man?” right before he was finished making my sandwich. After he ignored this and kept asking for my final toppings, I explained I was just hoping for a quick greeting. He told me he didn’t respond to me because then he wound have to tell me all his problems and I would play the role or therapist and it would be a whole thing. I said “Sorry man, I wasn’t going to try to be your therapist. I was just looking for a positive interaction.” He then told me he didn’t want to talk and that he was just hoping to finish serving me so I could “go away as soon as possible” so he could get back to work. He finally said “Have a good day.” I sincerely responded with “I really hope you have a great day.” This was met with “Not likely.”
Aside from it not being acceptable for any customer to be treated how I was, I am genuinely concerned for this...
Read moreI placed an online order at 10:45 am with plans to pick it up at 11:50 am. I completed the order, and as soon as I received the confirmation, I realized that the pick up time was wrong. It showed a pick up time for 11:05. I immediately called the Subway location to correct the error. I called 5 times and let the phone ring for almost 10 minutes total. No one answered. I replied to the confirmation email with the correct time as well and got no reply. When I arrived at the store, my “toasted “ sandwiches, including a steak and cheese, had been sitting on the counter for over 45 minutes. When I explained what happened and how many times I called, the manager Martina said they do not have a phone. Really? When I asked for fresh sandwiches, she said the ones made at 11:00 were fresh, even though it was almost noon. I asked for a refund, and she rudely refused, blaming me for the error. Apparently, at this Subway location, Martina is always right, and the customer and food quality do not matter. As I was typing this review, the GM responded to my complaint with an apology for his staff. That’s it! Just an simple sorry. Nice gesture but not enough. Our lunch was not up to expectations, and I’m the only one at a loss. Martina will continue to treat customers any way she chooses. Do not visit the Subway location in Sugar Land on 59 and Sweetwater. The level of customer service is...
