I’m not sure how this place has such good reviews. We went for the first and only time tonight based on the reviews. The food, hookah and ambiance is great but the service is disgraceful. It was honestly shameful and ruined the entire experience. We ordered the chicken tawook which was our servers recommendation, personally I loved it. Solid 8.5/10. The ambiance is amazing! Omg the hookah itself is great 9/10! It’s the first night of Ramadan and it was beautifully decorated. We got our food in a reasonable amount of time but there were no plates or utensils. We asked two different servers for plates and utensils, nothing ever came. We waited another 10 mins and I physically walked inside to ask for plates and utensils. A few mins later they provided two plates and utensils for four people. We had to ask for the fourth time, could we please get proper plates and utensils for the table.

You would think it would be easy to get coals at a hookah place, right? Surprise baby! It’s never coming 👎🏽 we asked two servers for coals and they never came. About 20 mins later there’s a server going around with coals. He skips our table and I had to request coals for the third time. Who knew it would be this difficult to get coals at a hookah lounge.

I asked for the check, it never came. Had to ask for the second time and it finally came.

After begging for proper plates and utensils FOUR times, begging for coals THREE times, and begging for the check TWICE… Idk guys I was kinda tired, never had to beg this much before in my life. Like a sad Victorian child my entire night consisted of “father pls I beg, may I have some spare plates?? Perhaps coals?? May I pls pay??”

There are hundreds of hookah lounges around Houston. Down highway 6 I can name multiple places with great service. We wanted to try this place because the reviews were good and the marketing is excellent. But it’s honestly disappointing that this place has such nice reviews. It definitely does not live up to it, at all.

Bilal and Jad were sweet and apologized for the service. But an apology doesn’t redeem the poor experience we had. Nothing was comped, nor did we expect it to be. Nothing was ever done to redeem the disappointment we experienced. 0/10. Bilal came by at the end and asked how it was. We were honest and told him we would probably never return to this place again. Also gratuity is automatically 18%. Probably because most people don’t want to tip for crappy service. Once again not sure how they have such good reviews,...

Giving them 2 ⭐⭐ for Overall service. I see other folks have given them 1 stars and some with 5 stars. Don't fall victim to the 5 stars. Those are probably fake and from the owners family and friends to boost their ratings. To be frank this place SUCKED as per my visit on the night of 12/1/2023.

Food - ⭐⭐ Food was okay. Small portions and a bit pricey, so not worth it. Beef kafta kabobs and chicken kabobs were good, but the beef kabob in pieces was severely undercooked. Atmosphere - ⭐⭐⭐ Both the inside of the restaurant and the outside patio are a nice touch. Elegant and beautiful decor. Service - ⭐ I understand it was their 1st day of opening, but the service was lackluster to say the least. I'll give them a bit of a pass but not much as they had plenty of servers and wait staff present (most standing behind the counter and looking dumbfounded), plus the restaurant was not as busy when I had first arrived. To sum it up, I had to repeat MULTIPLE times for the waiter(s) to give me an update on my order, bring utensils, bring coal for the hookah, bring my food, etc... The food took 45 mins to come out and the hookah took about 30. They should really look to improve on this. To make matters worse, they automatically charge 18% gratuity to all orders. I don't have a problem with this, but by law, all restaurants are supposed to mention the automatic gratuity on their menus -- which this restaurant clearly DOES NOT. Plus their service was horrible. I had mentioned this to the manager (Faria or Fariah) and she accepted their mistake of not listing the gratuity on the menu as well as their lackluster service. As a result of it, she offered me a FREE HOOKAH for my next visit. I will see if the restaurant lives up to their end of the bargain, as I will be sure to pay them a visit in the near future.

Based on the service I receive next time and the restaurant(s) promise to offer a FREE HOOKAH, I will change my rating to a higher number but for now, 2 ⭐ is all they get. Should be lucky I didn't give this...

From the moment we stepped into Huqqa, it was clear that we were in for a special evening. The ambiance of the restaurant strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal spot for both family gatherings and casual outings with friends.

As we settled into our seats, the warm lighting and tastefully designed interiors set a welcoming and relaxed mood. The background music was a delightful mix that complemented the atmosphere without being intrusive, enhancing our overall experience.

Now, let’s talk about the food – a remarkable fusion of flavors that tantalized our taste buds. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, beautifully presented and prepared to perfection. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, catering to all palates, including those with dietary restrictions. The standout dish for us was the Chicken Tawook, which was an exquisite blend of flavors and a testament to the chef’s expertise.

The service at Huqqa was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. They were quick to offer recommendations and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, making us feel truly valued as customers.

Another highlight of our visit was the value for money. Despite the high quality of food and service, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, making Huqqa an accessible option for a range of budgets.

In summary, Huqqa is more than just a dining destination; it’s an experience that leaves you with fond memories and a desire to return. Whether you’re planning a family night out or a relaxed evening with friends, Huqqa is the place to be. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

My Honest Review of Hoqqa Social – Sugar Land I had been looking forward to trying Hokah Social for a while. My family had visited the place twice before and absolutely loved the food—especially the pizza. They couldn't stop talking about how cheesy and stuffed it was, saying that just one slice was enough to fill you up. A month ago, a relative even brought home their pizza, but it turned out to be surprisingly bad—dry, lacking in flavor, and completely different from what my family had raved about. It didn’t even match the photos from their visit. They insisted that the dine-in experience was different, so today I finally went there, super excited to try it for myself. Unfortunately, the pizza we got was again disappointing—pretty much the same as the one brought home last month. It lacked filling, was dry, and had a strange taste that made us rely heavily on the sauce just to get through it. That said, I have to give credit where it’s due: the manager was incredibly polite and professional. When we shared our concern and showed him the pictures from my family’s previous visit, he genuinely tried to make things right. He even attempted to recreate the same pizza they had before, but it still didn’t come out as expected. Maybe the recipe or kitchen staff has changed since then—who knows? To be fair, I only tried the pizza and didn’t sample anything else on the menu, so this review is based solely on that. Despite the food not living up to the hype, the ambiance was lovely. The place has a great aesthetic, and the staff overall were welcoming and courteous. Would I go back? Maybe—to try something else. But for the pizza? Not so much.

UPDATE : Decided to try their food this time and I was not super impressed. Mango mojito for $10 came in a plastic cup. So disappointing! Charging so much yet no presentation. Seemed like you were getting it from a taco truck. Taste was pretty bland and no sweetness at all. Left most of it. For food, ordered the beef Kafta kabab which had such a strong flavor of goat meat (no where mentioned on the menu) that we left that. Even the rice had that strong taste. The only good thing was the Baloch chicken. Super flavorful and full of spice. Hard to eat though with it being not cut. Spent over a $100 between 2 people and did not find it worth it at all. Came here for the first time and had a great experience. We came after lunch so just got a house special hero cold tip hookah and doodh patti chai. Hookah was amazing! Super smooth and fruity flavors. Loved the ice tip coolness. Chai was also really good. I was however a bit disappointed to see that it took quite a while to get the hookah and chai out. We went on a late afternoon so the place wasnt busy so not sure how long it would take if its peak busy. Tauseef provided amazing and very friendly service. Their indoor and outdoor seating both is spacious and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be back to try their food.
