Kim's Teahouse — Restaurant in Sugar Land

We used to come here alot, but after today's issue, I can say for fact we will NEVER step foot in this establishment again. First off, they are thieves. They will charge your card multiple times and then claim "technical difficulties." They open at 9:30 AM. My daughter and I showed up at 9:55 asking for a simple smoothie with boba. The ipad or whatever device they were using to take payments, was clearly having issues. The woman at the front asked me to swipe it three separate times, even though I had proof that my card had been charged the full amount on the first try. After making me swipe multiple times, and causing multiple charges to my card, she kept insisting it wasn't going through. She then called someone from the back to help her, he looked at both machines that she had tried to swipe my card, and told me that the charge hadn't gone through. I showed him the email from my bank confirming the charge HAD indeed gone through. The guy continued to explain to me that on their end, it was showing that the charge hadn't gone through. And I explained right back that on MY end, the person being charged, the charge HAD gone through. Your technical difficulties do not mean you get to double and triple charge me for one damn drink. If you are having trouble getting your credit card machines up and running, I suggest showing up earlier and making sure they are working properly before you start charging customers. I was so furious, I wanted to leave without the smoothie. How dare you charge me multiple times, and then act like I am in the wrong, when YOU are the ones having the technical difficulties. Will...

Terrible customer service. They don't smile or make you feel welcome. It is a typical asian joint. They just want your money quick and on to the next person. I ordered carrot and orange for my 2 year old son today before 10pm. My wife said that he won't go to bed if he drinks orange so I asked them if they can mix his drink with mine (avocado and mango) since they made the drink already. The lady couldn't understand so I had to work hard for her to get it. I was not happy at all when the drink came and they can see it in my face. They didn't care because they are not about getting repeat customer. I will never go back or take my family there ever again because I will not reward bad service. We go out for the environment and service not because we can't drink better and cheaper juice or smoothie at home. Thank you anyways because now I smile knowing ($3.75 x 3) at each visit I would have spent is in my pocket...

I go here probably once a week or once a month. It’s very convenient to my neighborhood + I love their popcorn chicken.

No tea place beats Kim’s tea house popcorn chicken flavor. TRUST. (It can get spicy though so choose your level wisely & shake before you eat)

I don’t order much teas here except for my usual Thai tea (which they make fresh) and fruit teas which never go wrong to refresh you.

Order ahead like 10-15 min before you get there, because they take awhile to make it (food wise).

They don’t have any games or anything it’s more of a take it Togo type thing, but they do lots of have seating areas.
