Today, my husband and I stopped to pick up a couple of small bundt cakes for ourselves and a bday gift for a friend. I found a coffe cup to add to the bundt cake. The cake and cup were taken to the back to be wrapped. When it was brought out to me, the bottom of the cake looked very bumpy and smashed on one side. I asked if the cake could be replaced with another, as this was a gift and looked very unappetizing. I was told that there really weren't any others that looked any better, and the eyes and body language of irritation from the staff was totally unacceptable. She changed out the cake and we just accepted it as is. Our cakes that we later ate for ourselves had a minimal amount of icing as compared to our previous visits. I have been coming to this place for about 8 years now and this is the first time I had such rudeness and such a blatant display of irritation for a customer's...
Read moreI’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Nothing Bundt Cakes in Sugar land, TX. I placed an order for a cake to be picked up at 9:45 AM for a special event. Unfortunately, due to the severe weather and storms in Houston, the event was canceled.
I called the store around 9:00 AM — well before pickup — to explain the situation and request a refund. The manager, Sam, told me they would not issue a refund and only offered store credit.
I understand policies are in place, but in a situation like this — where the cancellation was due to dangerous weather and completely out of my control — I expected more understanding and flexibility.
If you’re ordering a cake for an event, please be aware that if anything unexpected happens, they will not refund your money. Save yourself the frustration and consider other bakeries with more...
Read moreThis location's processes are not customer-friendly at all. I placed a delivery order on 6/30 for 7/8 (am). I called several times without success on 6/30, so I placed an online order that same day. I saw that because of COVID, delivery charges for Nothing Bundt Cakes orders was being waived. I just received a phone call today, 7/7, to notify me that online orders for delivery aren't allowed, and that there is a $20 charge for deliveries with a 4 hour delivery window. I spoke to a manager (Jessica), who said that they must have been busy and couldn't pick up the phone, that they are not waiving delivery fees, and that no matter how far in advance an order is placed, they are not directly received until the day before delivery. I chose to cancel my order; I'll find another bakery that is more transparent about customer...
