Subway — Restaurant in Sullivan

2025 Update: This location is a shade of what it once was. The bathrooms are no longer sparkling clean and decorated, they had no fresh tea or even soda cup lids available during lunch, the bread on the sub was dried out and crusty. The staff still seemed friendly, but the lack of attention to any detail is a real bummer. Old review: One of my go-to's for a quick (but costly- see below) lunch in Sullivan, this fairly new location scores off the charts for cleanliness and appearance. Never have I dined in a cleaner and sparkling fast food place- and that includes the restrooms here. The seasonal decorations are plentiful and cheerful. The staff is well-trained and accommodating. The quality of food is up to Subway's standards, but I have to deduct one star for the value proposition. This place is very expensive for the quantity of food you get. Maybe the franchise owner needs to pay off the new construction, I don't know, but this is the most expensive Subway I ever visit. Online ordered a sandwich, yes, I did ask for extra mayo on my sandwich but this is ridiculous, this seemed vindictive. When I called to get it fixed the phone sounded like it went to a fax number and then when I called again it was "busy." when I went in, with my full sandwich, not even a bite taken out, asking for them to remake it she said, "if you have the receipt I can remake it for you." I literally picked this sandwich up, took it home (5 minutes away) opened it up and drove back up there immediately. She acted like she was not willing to remake it for me, when they literally just asked me to sign for it to take home the first time. I went to pull my online receipt up and she decided she couldn't get around it anymore and said she could go ahead and make it...the other girl also came back and asked me what was wrong with it and I told her that when I asked for extra mayonnaise on it, I didn't mean on the outside of my sandwich...I COULD NOT EVEN PICK THIS SANDWICH UP WITHOUT MAKING A COMPLETE MESS OF EVERYTHING! One star above what I would give only because of past orders as I would get subway from the sullivan building quite often ordering the same thing every time both on the app and in person. Today I ordered a blt and got the double bacon for $3. When I got my sandwich it tasted like there was no double bacon I opened it and counted the normal amount for a regular sandwich. I called they said to bring it in and they make a new one. The man was very rude said it was double and slammed it in the trash can. I got my replacement and still no double bacon. I had to go to the website and do the feedback thing about this ordeal and it is not the first time. Hopefully the feedback and this review will show them they cannot take the money someone paid for extra stuff and not give them the extras...
