Soulman's Bar-B-Que — Restaurant in Sulphur Springs

I HAD TO WRITE A BAD REVIEW YESTERDAY ON THE SULPHUR SPRINGS ADDRESS BECAUSE OF THE CARE WE RECEIVED FROM THE STAFF YOU HAD A GREAT BLACK GUY SERVING US MEAT HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND NICE AND THEN TWO WOMEN WHO WERE VERY RUDE AND THEIR STEAM TRAYS WERE NOT READY FOR THE SUNDAY CROWD THERE WAS ALMOST NOTHING IN THEM AND THE HEAVY SET GIRL THAT CHECKED US OUT WAS SO RUDE. I THEN HAD TO DEAL WITH HER AGAIN CONCERNING NO CONES AND SHE BARELY ACKNOWLEDGED ME WHEN WE HAD A LINE WAITING I WENT AND ASKED HER AGAIN ABOUT THEM SHE SNAPPED THEY ARE COMING THERE WAS SUCH A LINE WAITING THAT THE NICE LADY THAT BROUGHT THEM OUT GOT THEM UN WRAPPED AND ASKED ALL THE PEOPLE STANDING IN LINE IF THEY WOULD LIKE TO GET THEIR CONES FIRST BEFORE SHE TRIED TO PUT THEM UP EVERYONE DID AND IT MADE EVERYTHING SO MUCH NICER. I PROMPTLY GOT A CALL FROM BRANDON RILEY THE REGIONAL MANAGER AND WE SPOKE TO HIM AND HE APOLOGIZED TO US FOR OUR EXPERIENCE AND HE WOULD WORK ON THAT STORE SOME MORE I HAVE NEVER HAD SOMEONE CALL ME AND MY HUSBAND BACK SO QUICKLY AND HANDLE THE MATTER SO FAST I WILL ALWAYS BECAUSE OF HIM CONTINUE TO EAT AT SOULMANS THE BEST BARBECUE ANYWHERE YOU GO AND MY FAVORITE IS QUINLAN TX AND MY SECOND IS GREENVILLE BOTH I UNDERSTAND IS UNDER THIS REGIONAL MANAGER GREAT JOB BRANDON LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING...

I got the 3 meat combo. Brisket, sausage, and ribs with cole slaw , and Texas beans.

The bbq was honestly the worse I've ever had. I've traveled all 48 states.

The brisket didn't have any bark around it and it lacked flavor. It didn't have any smoke or seasoning taste at all.

The ribs were overcooked to the point where you bite the rib and the bone just emulsifies with the meat. It was an extremely peculiar experience. The taste was bland and had no smoke flavor.

sausage was below average. Didn't have the crunch when you bite it and it tasted like a hot dog put on a George Forman grill.

Coleslaw tasted like it was made with expired cabbage and had no flavor or pungent pop when you eat it.

Beans were bland and tasted like the beans I ate when I was in the hospital a few years back.

Hush puppies weren't good. Tasted as if they were made the day before and reheated in the microwave.

I must say everyone working in the store was extremely nice and courteous but the product was just bad.

I hope they figure out how to get their product right because they got the right people working in the store.

Poor customer service from the start (Sulpher Springs). I returned to order 2 32 oz of barbeque sauce I had forgotten for a brisket I had them smoke for family gathering. Female ( I think may have been a manager) was very rude while taking my order and upon my request to wrap the sauce in bag so to not spill in my car during transport, she did not seem to want to be bothered. Upon checkout of of JUST barbeque sauce she said the total was $20.55. I asked $20.55 just for 64 oz of barbeque sauce, she said yes in an abrupt manner thats what it costs. I told her to keep it and went down the street to bodacious barbecue and was able to get 64 oz already bottles up and ready, sealed for $10.99. Bodacious barbeque was was fast, friendly and...
