First visited on a Sunday afternoon about 2pm. Pretty deserted so nice and quiet. You serve and sit yourself but will need to ask for the drinks. The (I guess) lunch price was $13.99 each and bottled water is $1 each so with tax 2 adults were $32.45 which is what the area catfish buffets run. It is a small buffet area but has plenty of variety. I don't what know what everything was but I really loved the chile relleno and the dish with the cubed potatoes. Everything is good, though. Fried fish, french fries, nuggets, beans, rice, chicken and more. Pretty sure everyone can find something they would like. They had sliced oranges, jello, canned peaches in the cold station. The other cold station has condiments, sauces, etc. There's also a small store section for treats and they make fresh homemade tortillas you can buy for later! This was our first time there and we don't speak Spanish so couldn't read all the signs. Oh, beware of the table shakers--there is one that looks like cinnamon. No idea what it is but be warned it is hot (maybe powdered pepper?). Husband sampled it and it was much too spicy for our uninitiated tastebuds! Can't...
Read moreWe went here for our anniversary. Huge mistake!! Would never recommend this place to anyone. The tamale I got was so overcooked and hard, as was the taquito, I couldn't even bite into them. The fish was ok but again, it was so overcooked, you could only eat the center of it. Much of it was soups of some type but we couldn't identify what it was even though we are extremely familiar with Mexican cuisine. They seated us right next to a speaker and the music was so loud we couldn't talk to each other. No one spoke English. None of what we tasted had any flavor to it. For this they charged $18 each??? I have never been to a Mexican restaurant this bad. We picked at the food, then left and got some decent food elsewhere. Since moving here from San Antonio, we have had mostly mediocre Mexican food at best but this was...
Read moreDon't know why this place has any good reviews, sorry I stopped here. I can not recommend and would not go back. There was very limited items to choose from, not really much Mexican food. Roast beef with carrots, scrambled eggs in a red sauce, pieces of fat with very little meat in a red sauce, pork skins in a red sauce, over cooked chicken thighs and legs with pepper and onions. Fried fish that tasted really fishy, French fries, rice, beans, spaghetti and chips. The only good things were the tortillas and salsa. Looking back at the reviews with all the good looking photos were from three to...
