I have been a loyal customer of Starbucks for years, I have cultivated and established great friendship with some Starbucks employees. I had never in all my years visited a Starbucks where the employees more less the manager was bitter and just plain rude. I was visiting with my daughter, we drove through Sulphur Springs and decided to stop, my daughter works at Starbucks back home, therefore she had a partner number which we tried to use. The manager was so outraged about her not having her ID to prove that she was an employee, she made us feel like we were liars at the register. In a loud voice she scolded us and even came out from behind the counter to approach us in the lobby waiting for our coffees to tell us that if we were using someone’s else’s number that person was going to get in trouble. I felt so humiliated and my daughter who has worked for Starbucks for 4 yrs was so embarrassed by this young ladies (Manager) demeanor. She was looking at me like she couldn’t believe I worked there, until I mentioned my daughter is the employee not me. I can go on and on but the demeanor never changed towards us, she was plain rude and scolded me like if I was a teenager who had lied to the police. I did not appreciate her stereotyping, and discriminating Me just because she thought I was to old or because I was Latina and old Latina ladies don’t work at Starbucks. Again my daughter was the one who works at a Starbucks not me I had to tell her after being scolded in the lobby while waiting for our coffees. Unfortunately this was the only Starbucks in that town and we had been on the road for 2 hrs, if not I would have left. Conclusion, after the training that Starbucks provided to their employees on customer service / inclusion, after the African American men were discriminated and it was all over the news, this manager /young lady does this but now to a Hispanic. This manager needs re-training or maybe she did NOT attend the training. Didn’t get her name of how embarrassed I felt and just wanted to leave not feeling welcome but she was in her 20s, average height, thin, white skin, dark brown hair to her shoulders and said she was the manager. Read moreUntil recently it was always consistent, prices have gone up quite a bit, however I still visit regularly. I have been a regular customer since it opened and have only been unhappy recently with one employee that seems to mix up order details so if you order multiple drinks, you get part of each drink. She gets very defensive if you say anything about the drink being incorrect. I'm sure she is just new and it will improve. Before that I have always had great service and excellent drinks no matter what I order. The manager is very friendly and has excellent customer service skills, she is very dedicated to making sure the customer is happy. I submitted my mobile order reversing my order so the hot drink was ordered cold and the cold drink was ordered hot, when I said something to the employee, she showed me the sticker and it was my fault completely. I apologized to her, and I went to reorder the drinks because I had made the mistake. The manager refused to let me pay for them even after I told her it was my fault and I showed her the order on my phone and verified it was made correctly by the employee. Read moreAll employees were extremely rude to me. I paid for 2 drinks on the app, went inside to pick them up. They were made entirely wrong to the specifications I stated in the app. They told me to wear a mask and I told them I have severe asthma and even showed them my inhaler and they told me that doesn't matter and made me wait outside. Told them to remake my drinks and bring them to me outside then. They took FOREVER remaking my drinks and when they did, they got my order wrong AGAIN!!! Told them to go remake it again and to better get it right since they won't let me inside to watch them make my drink correctly. Horrible employees, absolutely horrible service and horribly unprofessional. They could've handled that whole situation differently.
