Upon a recommendation from a friend to visit this bar, I decided to give it a shot. So, the good part. It's a well-designed establishment. It has a nice center oval bar with plenty of seating that surrounds the bar. To be honest, I thought I had found a place to frequent. I found a table away from the bar and waited several minutes to place an order for a drink. When that didn't happen, I didn't want to assume that they had a waiter/waitress/food server and went up to the bar to order a drink. While placing the order I told the female bartender that this was my first time visiting the establishment and asked her if they had servers taking orders at the tables. She replied that they did so and I went back to my table with my drink. I might add that while at the bar the bartender did in fact offer me a food menu, but I declined and said I was just having drinks. After roughly 15-20 minutes of watching the basketball game at my table, one female waitress walked by my table at least 5 times, didn't acknowledge me, and didn't recognize my glass was empty. Since I figured that she wasn't going to offer any service I went back up to the bar and got another drink from the young make bartender and sat back down at my table. After several minutes the female bartender came by my table and asked if the server had come by my table. I told her that she had not. Stupid me for assuming, I figured that she would have said something to the server and then she might come by to make sure that my food or drink needs had been met, but that never happened. By this time I changed my mind about getting something to eat. I went back up to the bar and asked the female bartender for a menu and sat back down at my table. Once again, the waitress/food server didn't even begin to acknowledge my existence. so I went back up to the bar to place my order. This time the two bartenders walked by me numerous times, chatted with people, washed glasses, and walked by me several more times, cashed out slot tickets, and chatted with probably regular customers. So after quite a few minutes of standing there and not being acknowledged, I finally was fed up wanting to finish the basketball game and leave. Prior to leaving the female bartender came over to my table and asked if everything was okay. I'm guessing the brunette and the end of the bar saw that I just tossed the menu out of frustration and disgust at waiting for service from anyone and informed the bartender what had just happened. I told her the whole story and she apologized several times. In the end, I could tell that I was just supposed to accept her apology, accept the free drink, place my food order and everything would be just dandy. When that didn't happen, she just finally walked away. I told her that I would make sure that review would be in order as for my visit and she asked me not to do so. Seriously, just forget about the horrible service and not inform newcomers in the area. So what have I learned about local neighborhood bars! If you're not a regular, don't expect to be served before the regulars get served, and just accept it, it's not going to change. I'll second Erica H review on 3/17/23. I'd rather Uber down the Strip, pay more for drinks, and get quality service. Lastly, read your negative reviews and make the...
Read moreService has gone down hill. The waitress was getting off and threw us to the non busy bartender I get people are getting off their shift but it was a struggle to get our food ordered between the two. We haven't been here in a minute left a good tip since times are rough but won't be back .The burger and beer were the only things palatable. The wings were jumbo and not fried hard as my wife requested. The sauce was barely on them. The fries were out of a frozen bag with coating and not fresh tasting. No one in the place but another couple and they had to smoke a cigarette. Having not been in bars for a while it made my throat scratchy and they were not close to us at all but I could see the woman smoking from our booth. At that point I got the check and rolled out. Parkway Tavern on Flamingo and 215 was so packed we couldn't find a parking spot and decided to give this place a shot. Next time we're out at this time of night we will keep driving around the block until I find...
Read moreThis is our first time visiting The Ridge . When we have walked in , we were shocked how big and clean it was. It is not very smokey at all compared to other 24hr bars! Made it feel upscale without upscale prices. Which is very nice!!! It is beautifully decorated with “the Ridge theme. “We loved the huge fireplace in the corner. The most comfortable seating area, the tables and chairs are great . A really great find! The food is amazing too. They have a very diverse menu and chef creations menu items that you can not find in other local bars. Great place to enjoy some amazing food with such a diverse menu! Amazing cocktails and beyond a wonderful welcoming staff to top it all off! We highly recommend The short rib on the menu, it’s the best one we have ever had. A MUST TRY!!! Overall: Love the energy and vibe of what the ridge has to offer! Awesome staff and delicious food. We highly recommend it as your...
