Sushi Palace in Summit NJ is absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!!! Roaches Service is TERRIBLE None of the food came at the same time. Food took way too long. WE WAITED 40 MINUTES FOR MY WIFE'S ORDER.

My son's 2 Cali rolls came before the appetizers. My pork katsu came out without the rice or the salad, my dumplings (appetizer) came out after asking for my salad and looked fresh out of the freezer. My wife didn't get her Miso soup until my son was done eating all his sushi, Her food finally came out after my son and I were finished eating, period. She got the "all you can eat...", and then they wanted to charge us extra for taking what she had left on her plate after waiting for forever to get after I asked, "where's her food?"...

I said I'm not paying extra to take what we paid for after waiting for forever for you to get us food and she said ok. I packed our leftovers and we left.

Yes I said roaches. When waiting, a woman at the table 2 tables over from us screamed and jumped up... they pointed , I looked down and the roach comes crawling over towards us. The waitress said "oh ok", stepped on it, wiped her foot, and kept it moving like there was nothing wrong. I am calling the health department.

NEVER AGAIN! Find another place other than in the basement here at Sushi Palace in Summit.

"Oh it's great, it's awesome, and so good!"

Nope....

I normally go to Edison or Princeton, but noticed there was a Sushi Palace near the apartment that I'm currently living at. This place was noted for having superior tasting sushi and sashimi so my girlfriend and I tried it out. The salmon was pretty fresh, it tasted fairly good. If you had to rate the Princeton/Edison one as let's just say 7 this would be an 8. The layout of the restaurant is a bit awkward, because it's almost like it's a square with the entrance being in the middle. So if you need something, waiters cannot see around corners so you need to flag them down when they appear. And even when they do appear, they always seem pretty busy and never acknowledge you. We were waiting pretty long in between orders for more order sheets. If you don't like waiting, order all you think you can eat on your first sheet, because once the waiter is gone, you won't see them for a while. A bit of miscommunication when we were there as well. A waiter asked another waiter to get our check... the waiter nodded and never got our check so the first waiter ended up doing it. Overall, it IS a solid Sushi Palace, but I think I would prefer making the drive to Edison to be in a restaurant where waiters can readily see me so I can get...

UPDATE- I went there last night after leaving a different location that was so packed. There is this new skinny server that I've been noticing for about a month or 2. This lady watched me the whole time I was there. I've been going there for a xocoup of years now and I've never felt more uncomfortable than I did last night. I just about snapped on her. I will be calling there to speak to a manager because I did not appreciate that at all. She had a nasty attitude and drfidefini profiling me and my 8yr old child.

I used to love this place but the last few times I've gone I've been extremely disappointed especially in service. I've been ignored, bill put on the table before I was finished ( when not busy), attitudes from the older lady that serves there.. the last time I went there with my son's father.. he gave her money to pay the bill and as she was walking back to us she was giving him such a look of disgust (a black family) until she noticed I was staring right at her the whole time then she becomes friendly all of sudden with me 🙄.. don't think I will be giving them another dime...

(Endoff summer 2024)The food was just okay, but what ruined the experience was the attitude. They were **openly talking about us in Chinese**, not realizing I speak five different Asian dialects—I understood *everything* they said. **Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.** 🤬 On top of that, we were being stared at while eating, which made us uncomfortable. Even if they were just checking to see if we were finished, it felt intrusive and awkward. The atmosphere didn’t help either—it gave off **old basement vibes** due to the smell and outdated decor. This place is definitely in need of a serious remodel. We came for the **All You Can Eat** option at \$30.95 per person (plus tax) on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn’t even busy, so we expected better. The only things I truly enjoyed were the **Spicy Seaweed Salad**, **Gyoza**, and the **Red California Roll**. Everything else was mediocre at best. Given the overall food quality and the way we were treated, I can’t say it was worth the \$30.95. I’ve been to other AYCE sushi spots with fresher ingredients and far better service. Not sure I’d return.

This place was amazing. Found this by mistake. Was going to goto the pizza place but it said the dining room was closed. I didn't even know the sushi place was there until my kids saw it. The food was amazing and the people were so nice. The place was SOOOOOOO CLEAN, the floors you could eat off of. As we sat down, right on the menu it said ALL YOU CAN EAT. This was like hitting the lotto. The food was fresh, the SOUP was aMAZING fresh and Hot. You NEED to try this place you won't be disappointed.
