An Unforgettable Culinary Experience at Four Monkeys Indian Bistro.
I had the pleasure of dining at Four Monkeys Indian Bistro recently, and I must say, it was one of the most delightful dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that set the tone for a perfect evening.
The star of the evening was undoubtedly Sanchit, who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our visit was exceptional. His attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and genuine passion for providing top-notch service truly stood out. He took the time to recommend dishes based on our preferences, and every suggestion turned out to be a hit!
Now, let’s talk about the food it was nothing short of phenomenal. The flavors were authentic, rich, and perfectly balanced, transporting me straight to India with every bite. The presentation was impeccable, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident in every dish. From the appetizers to the main course and dessert, each dish was a masterpiece.
The flavors were exquisite, and it was evident that great care and expertise went into its preparation. The naan was soft, fluffy, and the perfect accompaniment to the flavorful curries.
Sanchit’s dedication to ensuring that we had an extraordinary experience did not go unnoticed. He checked on us regularly, ensured our glasses were always filled, and made us feel like valued guests throughout our meal. It’s rare to come across such outstanding service, and it made the experience even more memorable.
I would highly recommend Four Monkeys Indian Bistro to anyone looking for an authentic Indian dining experience. Whether it’s a casual meal or a special celebration, this restaurant is the perfect choice. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and a warm atmosphere makes it a true gem.
Thank you, Sanchit, and the entire team at Four Monkeys Indian Bistro, for an unforgettable evening. I will definitely be returning soon and bringing more friends and family to experience this...
Read more4 monkeys offers an intriguing concept: an Indian bistro aiming for a modern, fusion approach. As a fan of both traditional Indian cuisine and innovative culinary experiences, I was curious to see how this balance would play out. The decor is undeniably stylish, with an inviting ambiance that feels more upscale than a typical Indian restaurant. There's even a well-appointed bar, which, to my surprise, remained unutilized as [Bistro does not currently serve alcohol. This was a minor disappointment, especially given the inviting bar area, and felt like a missed opportunity for a complete dining experience. Now, onto the food. The menu is a journey into Indian fusion, with dishes that playfully combine traditional Indian flavors with international influences. While some creations were genuinely delightful and showcased a creative flair, I found myself grappling with the essence of "fusion." In a few instances, the fusion seemed to dilute the very authenticity that makes Indian food so vibrant and distinct. The rich, bold spices and complex flavor profiles that are hallmarks of Indian cuisine sometimes felt softened or overshadowed by the desire to innovate. That's not to say the food isn't enjoyable. There were certainly standout dishes that demonstrated the kitchen's potential, showcasing fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentations. However, for those who cherish the deep-rooted flavors of traditional Indian cooking, some of the fusion elements might feel a step too far from the familiar and beloved. Ultimately, 4 monkeys is a place with promise. It’s a bold attempt to redefine Indian dining, and while the execution of the fusion concept occasionally sacrifices authenticity, it also delivers some truly inventive dishes. If you're open to a different interpretation of Indian cuisine and don't mind the lack of a liquor license, it's worth a visit to experience their unique culinary vision. However, if you're seeking a purely authentic taste of India, you might find yourself longing for the...
Read moreMy friends and I were really excited about this restaurant as we are passionate about food and love to try new places. We made a reservation for 3 on a Thursday night at 6:00pm, we were coming from Morris Plains and it was raining, we were a bit late due to traffic and out of principle we decided to call to let them know about our delay. We arrived about 10 minutes passed 6:00pm and the restaurant was almost empty. 3 men were standing at the end and the hostess asked if we were a party of 3 or 4, we reiterated that we made a reservation for 3. She went on to consult with the men who we presumed were the "owners" of the establishment since they were dressed in black as "chefs" ( like on their website), she came back, sat us at a booth and mentioned that " we had an hour to eat because the table was reserved afterwards and we could only stay for 90 minutes but because we arrived late we had less time". We apologized again for the delay and asked if we could be moved to another table, her reply was: "No, it's Thursday night and we are very busy". We then mentioned that we were never told about a 90 minute policy nor it is specified on their website. At no point they offered to accommodate us or resolve the situation, none of the 3 men addressed the issue, they were just standing there watching how the hostess " dealt with us". We decided to simply leave the premises stating that we wanted to enjoy a meal with no rush. This was a disappointing experience, with awful customer service.
Thankfully, the night turned out to be amazing! Just around the corner we encountered this hidden gem called: " Neggen Persian Grill", not an "Indian fusion" but great Persian/Mediterranean food. The service and food were fantastic, made fresh on the spot. We had the pleasure to meet and be served by the owners themselves who made great recommendations from their menu. Wonderful couple and lovely night. The place is also BYO.
Good luck to the " 4 Monkey's" or the 3, you guys definitely need to polish...
