Edit, home from work now, had some time to make some notes raving about these cookies, and how I'm now Crumbl's newest, biggest fan!
First time having Crumbl: a few months ago on a cold winter day, a higher up at our company blessed my team with these cookies due to some record sales #s. They are not sposed to be warm (Insomnia cookies for instance, if they're not warm by time they get to you, they turn hard and stale tasting)...but still the texture wss fresh as can be. I texted my boyfriend it was the best cookie I ever had! (They're so big, our team cut them in half to try different flavors). I remember especially the Lucky Charms one was delectable. (And not dry at all, where sometimes with specialty donuts for instance, toppings can be dried out and tasteless.) It was so moist and rich. I had never heard of Crumbl before but man, it really left its mark.
Today: I've been meaning to buy some of my colleagues a treat as a special thanks for them going above and beyond to help me with some bigger projects. What did I order? Crumbl! I quickly placed an order in minutes at 7:30am, to deliver to our office in Cottage Grove. I was surprised I could set delivery time for just a few hours later, as they are made fresh every day and it was so last minute. I work on the phones most of the time, so I was a bit worried for delivery, and had them deliver to front desk. I was tracking order on my phone, and my phone was about to die! I ran up to the front (where our receptionist was sposed to buzz them in, as we have tight security to get in the building and she was gone..I was worried), but sure enough the cookies were safely left in our foyer, I'm so glad the driver made the executive decision to put there, safely inside from the rain n drizzle. And if you're reading this, I'm sorry about any delivery confusion!)
Anyways, they were a hit! I ordered several pink velvet, banana cream pies, and a few pumpkin and the rest singles of remaining weekly flavors. My coworkers were impressed and it totally brightened their day! Others outside the team I overheard in rows behind me gasping about how they needed one lol. I had to literally go hide the box from wandering eyes 😂.
Lastly, I managed to somehow reserve a few left out of the dozen for my boyfriend. Which, let me tell you is basically an adult baby lol. As in, he works his arse off every day as a package delivery boy, but LOVES COOKIES N MILK more than anyone I know. I texted him I was bringing home a surprise. Upon seeing the cookies...His eyes were wider than a full moon and couldn't believe their size (he asked at first how much I spent, then took one bite and understood why)...He said it was absolutely to die for. And he is very particular with his food, bit of a foodie, and has worked in kitchens at high end restaurants for ten years prior.
I can't say enough good things. And the bright pink packaging is so cute in and of itself.
If you need to brighten someone's day for a thank you, someone down on their luck, a holiday or birthday, or simply want to treat yourself to a dessert, get a few which you can eat in quarters or halves to savor it over a few days, you will not regret it and it is worth every penny! The price may seem a bit much, but again they are so big and enormous, even eating a quarter of one is enough to satiate a sweet...
Read moreI love Crumbl so much that I created my own version of their Pink Sugar cookie when they quit baking up that particular cookie for a while Unfortunately, I may have to rely on my own recipe now to get my fix.
I've seen people say that their cookies were underbaked before, but I always thought they were a bit crazy, as I never had an underbaked cookie. That is, until recently. This was a couple of weeks ago, and I got the fruit tart one and a pink sugar. My guest also got a pink sugar and a peanut butter something or other. Both of our pink sugar cookies were underbaked. The edges were fine, but the inside tasted of raw flour and had the consistency of PlayDoh. I pinched it and it held its form, like working with raw dough as a baker myself. I know what a Crumbl Pink Sugar cookie is supposed to be like, it it has been my ride or die. I'm very aware of what their cookies should be like after eating dozens of them for 2 years. My Fruit Tart cooking was cooked perfectly, as was my guest's peanut butter whatever cookie.
Unfortunately, I doubt I'll ever go back to get my beloved Pink Sugar cookie again, for myself, or for when I have company. I'm so bummed. :( That cookie was my favorite treat and my reward for surviving Costco trips. Truly bummed. I wanted to eat that dang cookie by scraping off the frosting and microwaving it to finish the baking process, but I decided against it. It made me sad to not eat the normally perfect center, but it just isn't worth the potential food-poisoning.
There is a fine line between baked, safe, and delicious Crumbl cookie versus an underbaked, unsafe and unappetizing Crumbl cookie. May that Pink Sugar cookie RIP. 💔 It truly missed...
Read moreI have been there twice. The cookies are fresh and most are served warm. Ice cream is offered in 8oz containers. Service is fast and the app is very convenient.
The type of cookies they offer is my favorite - crisp on the outside and warm, soft (some of them close to gooey) on the inside. They are expensive, but when you consider how much going out for drinks or getting snacks for a movie night costs, this is fair. They are pretty special, so if you want the comfort of a big, often warm cookie then there isn't a better place to go than Crumbl.
Their ice creams taste high quality too - I would put them next to Ben N Jerry's level. However Ben N Jerry's ice cream is less expensive in $ per ounce. The only one I personally would repurchase among the ice creams is Hot Chocolate. I don't even normally like chocolate ice cream very much, but I love the flavor of this one. The marshmallow cream throughout was amazing.
For those watching their calorie intake - be careful. They change their cookies menu every week (they do have a chocolate chip and a chilled sugar cookie available every day). Crumbl could become your...
