Creme Corner — Restaurant in Sunbury

I was so excited to see Creme Corner come back! I know they’ve only been open for a few weeks but there are some definitely kinks to work out.

The prices are extremely fair. My family got a single cheeseburger, a double cheeseburger, a grilled cheese, two fries, a coke, diet coke, and cream soda for about $30. However, I was surprised to see that the grilled cheese cost more than a cheeseburger ($5 vs $4). For just bread and cheese, that’s disappointing. Also, the menu board oddly doesn’t list all of the sodas offered, such as coke and diet coke, so we had to ask if they were available.

After ordering, we were given a buzzer and waited for our food in the covered table area (nice to have a shaded place to sit but it was insanely hot due to not having open walls). After about 15 minutes, our buzzer went off. I was surprised to see that only our sodas were ready (the regular coke was incorrectly marked as diet). They said they’d buzz us again when the food was ready, which happened about 15 minutes later.

The grilled cheese was barely grilled at all and there wasn’t any butter on the bread. The two fries came in small boats and one only had a few fries in them. The other that was fuller still wasn’t a lot, especially for $4 each. We were offered a choice of dips with the fries, and I was glad to see ranch was an option… until I got my order and saw it was premade. Homemade ranch is such an easy thing to make; I really wish they would offer it.

Lastly after lunch we got two chocolate dipped cones which started melting everywhere not only due to the hot weather but also because they only dipped it once. You could barely taste the chocolate and could see the ice cream through the “dip”.

We’ll probably give it some time to get things on track...

This is my second time visiting! the service was great. First time service was confusing- so i am all about trying again. We got our donuts, hand-burger and donuts, they forgot about our ice crean. However they were more than accommodating to make them or refund after i gained the courage to ask. But I went with the refund as I was in a hurry. Everyone working there should be more like the gentleman - I will be back for sure. Oh, they even opened up a little earlier for my nephew and I, since we were waiting outside. Awesome staff and milkshakes were EXCELLENT. Umbrella picnic tables and the covered outdoor tables are very nice touch and often missed at other similar dairy bars around ohio. Large capacity too.

The cheeseburger, mushrooms, coney dogs, and shredded chicken weren’t terrible, but look forward to the tweaks moving forward. Brand new business so they will do well in the coming years.
