SURVE — Restaurant in Sunbury

For me, this was a complete miss. Not sure if I just came on a bad day or what. Came in on a Sunday after church thinking it would be packed. Barely anyone dining there and more workers than people. Being this is brand new, I would hope the huge amount of staff working would be more than willing to help a new customer and explain their concept. I am familiar with what they were going with, by me going to the counter and ordering but I saw few elderly couples come in after me that had no clue how these establishments worked. We ordered the kids mini burger meal $10, fish tacos $12, and chicken salad sandwich $10....then we paid a whoping $2.50 each for a fountain drink, a kids cup, and a hot tea. The price for lunch for 2 adults and 1 child at 6yrs old was $42. For me this seems a bit extreme since I have gotten larger meals that were actually served to me at a cheaper cost. The prices they have for kids meals is excessive. The kids barley eat their meals and I can't imagine if I had more than one child with me. You would have to take a loan out to feed your family an ok meal. Our meal was nothing special, I appreciate the "freshness" aspect but the flavor was nothing but ordinary and I could have gotten it cheaper somewhere else. I was approached after already paying for my meal prior that there was no more fish for the fish tacos I ordered and asked if I wanted something else. This should have been addressed before paying to avoid having to find a meal the same price or worrying about a refund. Could have saved everyone the frustration. So I asked if they had any kind of fish and was told they had salmon, I advised that would be fine to be replaced with and they honored it. When we ordered we asked what fruit was part of the fruit bowl. The cashier advised of a couple fruits that were not actually ever an option. Another disappointment when the food came. I mainly ordered the fish tacos for the avocado on them and they were served without the avocado and I had to ask for it. The staff seemed to not know what was part of their own meals because when I addressed it they questioned that it was a part of the item. My daughters mini burgers were boring and we could have went to Wendy's and gotten a better tasting burger and saved about $9. I was so looking forward to this location opening since I loved the layout, decor, and the fact Sunbury would have something other than fast food. I am super confused by the fact the name is Surve when I am the one serving myself. I overheard conversations from the other folks around us saying the name was disappointing since there is no one actually serving them. People really enjoy going somewhere paying decent prices and getting good service. This is not one of those places. Especially if I am going to pay the prices you are charging I would expect that someone else is doing the work while I relax. I shouldn't have to get my own drink, go to the front to order/pay, then have to constantly ask for items that were stated as part of my meal and not get them. The staff was just there present, they were not trying to make my experience a delightful one. Hoping some improvements happen because once someone comes to experience your location they won't be back to be a repeat customer which really saddens me cause I can see the potential. Okay my opinion of this new restaurant and Sunbury would have to be at to start at best it started out with older walk-in you order first you pay and then you sit down to eat which is a New Concept to me but we're out of time if it's bad or anything like that then it doesn't matter you've already paid it wasn't like if you order from the menu your food comes in you pay later you can say something and then the reimburse your whatever so I really didn't care for that aspect as me and my family investment sit down to eat we order 2 tilapia dinners and then the tilapia tacos mac and cheese and of course french fries sweet potato and brussel sprouts okay first complained my mother-in-law caught her brussel sprouts 2 L of a serving that she got was done on the other ones weren't cooked all the way the mac and cheese was okay a lumpy and didn't taste like homemade to me like you should I guess but that's just my opinion the fish tacos I would not recommend them to anyone mine was cold and so was my daughters and then what I sent him back to be redone it came back out warm but then it was burnt so bad that every little bite that you would try was just horrible and I couldn't I need it because it tasted like burnt food we also ordered finished and show and cajun are I'm sorry Buffalo dip I don't have to say the best thing was the buffalo dip spinach dip was really watery the petabytes or chips with it was so hard you can't really eat them so that's my review with this you know maybe there was just having an off day and like I said they're not open to the public yet but you would have thought with everything like that wrong they would at least offer to refund or food or I supposed to come back later when they Brio you know open to the public but that was not the case so this is my review for serve in Sunbury Ohio let me know what you think and...

We were very disappointed in this restaurant. We were so excited to try it every time we drove by, but then we got inside and it was one bad thing after the next. First off, you walk in and the restaurant is split in half, we didn't know what to do so we picked up the menus in front of us and started looking at it. The server at the counter asked us if it was our first time, we said yes, then she said in an annoyed voice, "You can order here and sit down, we'll bring the food to you, or you can sit on the other side by the bar, which is full service." We decided to sit on the bar side. There were only 3 or 4 tables beside the bar, we chose the table by the window. The server behind the bar came out and gave us menus immediately, which was great because we were starving. My dad ordered a coffee and I ordered a water to drink. Dad's coffee was cold when she brought it out. She took a long time to come back to take our food order. Dad ordered pasta and I ordered a chicken salad sandwich with a fruit cup. Dad said the pasta was very good. I, on the other hand, was upset. I found three hairs in my fruit cup. Usually I shrug off hair on my plate because I shed like crazy, but these were not my hair. They were the wrong color and they were very short. My sandwich was alright. When she eventually brought out the receipt, Dad pulled out his credit card immediately, she didn't take it, she walked away to help the other table. A good five minutes or more went by before she came and got the card, she was too busy chatting behind the bar to some other customers, I hope they had a good experience. She never once came out to refill my water and she never asked how our food was. Dad paid and we left. On our way back to the car, we agreed that we don't want to ever go...
