Delicious donuts and an especially great thai iced tea. Needed something sweet for the morning and I am so glad I finally took a chance and visited this place. They have such a nice variety of sweet baked goods and a bunch of different breakfast/lunch sandwiches in their menu, as well as a pretty good drink menu or bottled drink section. If you need a quick sandwich or a sweet freshly baked pick-me-up, this place is definitely heaven compacted into a small corner shop. The pretty lady at the front was so sweet and prompt, she also makes an awesome thai iced tea :D and the older gentleman was so charming and even gave me a fresh glazed donut sample to snack on while I waited for my drink. These people not only know how to make great donuts/drinks, they really know how to make you feel welcome with their great service which is priceless!! I got the chocolate coconut donut with the maple glazed old fashioned and they were SO GOOD!!! The lady even added some extra glazed donut holes which were so fluffy and absolutely delectable. I was placed my order before morning crowd for me and my daughter. 3 items that added up to about $15. As we waited, other customers got their orders taken and their items before me. I waited 20minutes, and finally asked what the delay was. They started making the sandwhich in microwave. I was upset already so I paid and walked out. As iw asked out I saw my receipt said an even $20 which didn't make sense for $5 worth of taxes. I went back and asked them why 20, if that as not my total and with taxes still didnt add up. Lady said price change and I told her thT not what's posted. She said the signs are to high to change price. I then pointed out the thele price for the smoothies in within reaches distance and they should put closer.priced menu.for towers to see. Basically they just tipped them selves. 👎🏽I’ve given Daily Donut in Sunnyvale several chances, but my experiences have been consistently upsetting. The donuts themselves taste good, but the treatment I’ve received compared to my partner (a Caucasian male) has been noticeably different. While his donuts are always perfectly round, well-glazed, and even come with donut holes, mine have repeatedly been smushed in a bag with icing that is sloppy and messy. On one visit, I watched the same staff carefully place five donuts into a nice box for another white customer, while my six donuts were tossed into a bag and ended up squished. Had I known this would happen, I would have asked for a box — but I shouldn’t have to.

This pattern has happened across multiple visits, and it’s hard not to feel that I’m being treated differently because of race. It’s incredibly frustrating and disheartening, especially since I truly wanted this to be my go-to donut spot.
