Prestige Wines & Liquors — Restaurant in Sunnyvale

I have been going to this shop for last one year every month. Today, two people new people on the counter looked like grandmother and her grandson(of Indian origin). I went to the counter, bought 2 bottles whiskey and tequila. They asked for my ID, I showed them my "Indian driving licence". They didn't accept that. Though I have used this ID there all the time. I have used this ID to drive in US, and I have used this ID at airport. but, they did accept my passport.

No problem till this point.

But after showing my passport they said, people from India make fake ID and can not be trusted and they are unreliable.

This made me mad, and I was not expecting this coming from an people of Indian origin. Even if Indian people won't respect each other, we can not expect other to do the the sa,e

Asking for passport was fine, but making a derogatory statement about Indians was not, today they lost at-least...

The worst customer service one can have. This is the third time I’ve shopped there and every single time the cashier has been talking in an Indian dialect on the phone, making no eye contact, no greetings, swipes your credit card and literally throws it back at you and just walks off, not saying thank you or goodbye. Don’t give these people your business and promote this lack of customer service. There are plenty of other places to get your alcohol...

In the past, I gave these guys a hard time because of the high prices for cigars, but after talking with the owner and friends, they were so cool. They humbly brought their price down and I am so grateful. This is an example of good business ethic and listening to the voice of the consumer.
