I love Una Más food but today I went to this location and had a very disappointing experience they had barely opened the restaurant and there was a young man before me ordering his food he seemed Latino but he did not speak Spanish he was in a very nice way trying to explain to the guy preparing his food he did not want any onions in his food and no salsa when he picked up his food the cashier and the guy preparing the food started making fun of the guy in Spanish saying that he looked like being from “Oaxaca” (a state in Mexico in which darker skinned color is more common) and judging him for asking for no onions and no salsa saying that that’s what gives food flavor... I felt bad because as a Latina I’ve been in that young man’s shoes many times in this country, I know what being discriminated feels like I have family members that don’t speak English my husband is white skinned green eyes and don’t speak any English but he has a job in which he gets paid 3 or 4 times more than this ignorant and mediocre employees from this particular restaurant.... I can imagine my loved ones being made fun of like this young man and makes...
Read moreI've always loved Una Mas oakmead. But most of all I just want to say thank you to Christian the nice guy who took our order that afternoon @5:11pm 9-July-2017 I'm not sure who it was but there was just him and the chef there but we dined outdoors of the restaurant that afternoon and when we left I had forgot my purse on the bench. I am on vacation from Kentucky before I realized I lost my purse it was late and the restaurant had closed. Couldn't sleep all night cause the last place I remembered that I had my purse was at Una Mas oakmead and I had to wait till morning to call them to see if they had found my purse. And thank you God when I phoned them the following morning the Manager had my purse (hallelujah!) Not only did they find my purse but nothing was missing not even a dime. I'll I have say I'm on vacation and there was a good deal of cash in my purse yet when I picked it up in the morning everything was all there. So greatfull to the good young men for their honesty. May the good Lord bless you both abundantly and Una Mas oakmead store. Forever...
Read moreThis place has a terrible online ordering system. Because I was not notified that my order was ready, my food sat there for over 15 minutes waiting to be picked up and as you may guess, it was cold by the time I arrived. This also caused me to come in just a couple of minutes before the restaurant closed. What I did get, after reheating, was fairly good, however, there was a distinct lack of beans in my burrito, and the restaurant should rectify that recipe asap. The Carne was very good and so was the guacamole.
-1 for lack of information/completely missing the mark on the estimated time of order completion and -1 for no beans in the burrito.
Overall, I would still recommend giving jt a try. Who knows, maybe they are better when it's not 30 mins before closing and when the employees are in a rush to close up. It could make the experience more worthy of that 4th and...
