[Latest Jun 30 2022] Today, I came here to have dinner. First of all, this place now looks deserted. I ordered an appetizer and they brought in a different one. When asked, the lady in the kitchen says “What’s wrong, this one also is good !”. Well, I suppose they need to bring us what we’ve ordered instead of what they want us to eat, isn’t it?
Second, this place is very unhygienic. There are flies constantly buzzing around your table and food. When I informed the staff about cleanliness they simply moved us to another table to where, the flies have followed us. The staff didn’t even bother to spray and clean the table. Horrendous violation of food safety and hygiene.
Third, I ordered ‘Ugadi Bhojanam’ Thali and a Mysore masala dosa. They brought in a platter of curries, rice and roti in a big plate and except for rice everything else is cold. The curries were stale. After having the food, within 3-4 hours I started feeling uneasy in stomach and got diarrhea! And I clearly know that this happened from eating the stale food from this place. This is a very serious violation of health and food safety and I’m going to lodge a complaint.
I request, by all means, beware of this place. It is definitely not the one like I had earlier and has much degraded in quality of food and service

Excellent South Indian style vegetarian food. Decent service and courteous staff. Thali is awesome and the best part is it is unlimited. Rice and Curries are refilled. All the items are fresh and just feels like homely food. Especially the tomato rasam is superb.. overall it is the best meal within a...

I ordered the (unlimited) lunch Thali, and this was hands down the most authentic South Indian food I’ve had in the US. The food tasted exactly like how my mom makes it! I cannot stress how thrilled I was to find that even the yogurt is home-made from Indian yogurt cultures — I have not seen any other restaurant serve Indian yogurt. 😃
(Like some reviewers mentioned, I don’t think any of the staff is South Indian. How ironic then that the food is so superlative.)
Unfortunately, they seem ill-equipped to handle large crowds. Like other reviews mention, there is no clear greeting for patrons entering the restaurant, there is no waiting area, my food took 30 minutes to arrive, some items were missing from my plate, and I had to ask several times before they were delivered. The staff tried to be friendly and helpful, but they seemed overwhelmed.
It breaks my heart that a restaurant with such good food has to garner poor reviews because of its management. I hope they re-think their management system soon.
-2 stars for the chaos, +1 star for...
Read moreWow, I've really never had thalis before and came here because I saw great Yelp reviews and I wasn't disappointed! I came here at around 8 pm on a Wednesday night and didn't have to wait at all and was seated in a group of 7 at a nice table in the back.
Food: I got the first thali option with the unlimited option. It was actually a huge amount of food and I basically didn't need to get second helpings. I loved that they gave us roti to dip all of the sauces and food in and it was really a good amount of food! I was terribly full afterwards but super super happy. I haven't had much Southern Indian food before so it added to the experience and I really did like the way that it was so family style.
Service: There's not many people helping out in the restaurant but they came by fairly often to check in on us and make sure that we had all of the food and that we got second helpings.
Ambiance: Super casual and kind of run down venue, but it feels very homey and very kitchen-esque.
Overall loved the unique food experience and would come again! Super cheap and...
