Rajarani Bakery and Restaurant is a nostalgic trip back to the early 2000s bakery vibes of Tamil Nadu, offering a delightful mix of flavors and experiences.
Vegetable Sandwich: The Vegetable Sandwich here is fantastic—fresh and flavorful with a perfect balance of vegetables and seasoning. It’s simple but satisfying, making it the kind of sandwich you crave when you want something comforting.
Paneer Sandwich: The Paneer Sandwich is equally delicious, with tender, well-seasoned paneer that’s just the right amount of spiced. The sandwich is hearty and filling, a great choice for anyone looking for a satisfying meal.
French Fries: The French fries that come with the sandwiches are unique in the best way. They’re thick-cut, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside—just the way fries should be. It’s a great complement to the sandwiches and adds a little extra indulgence.
Gobi 65: The Gobi 65 is a must-try, with crispy, golden cauliflower coated in a light, flavorful batter. It’s perfectly spiced and makes for a great snack or side dish to enjoy with any of the sandwiches.
Bhel Puri: The Bhel Puri here is fresh and crunchy, with a perfect balance of tangy and savory flavors. It’s an enjoyable, refreshing dish that’s a great contrast to the heavier items on the menu.
Fresh Juice: The fresh juice they make is a real highlight—packed with natural flavors and incredibly refreshing. It’s the perfect drink to complement the meal, providing a light and healthy option.
Owner: The owner is very accommodating and genuinely listens to your requests. I ordered a custom birthday cake from here, and they were more than happy to customize it to our exact wishes, making the experience even more special.
Ambience: The ambience is fantastic, with Tamil songs playing softly in the background, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. It’s a cozy spot with a lovely vibe that enhances the dining experience.
Just a (small) not-so-constructive feedback for the team: The prices could be reduced a little for the quantity, but the overall experience is great. So no complaints :)
Overall, Rajarani Bakery and Restaurant is a charming place with great food, wonderful service, and a nostalgic atmosphere. It’s definitely...
Read moreI recently visited RajaRani Bakery and Restaurant in Sunnyvale, CA, and I am thrilled to share my amazing experience! This gem is conveniently located close to the freeway and other shopping centers, making it an easy stop for anyone in the area.
The owners, Ramesh and Arul, have assembled a top-notch team that truly excels in customer service and culinary expertise. Special mention goes to the amazing managers, Sebastian and Gokul, who ensure everything runs smoothly. Bob, the genius behind the fresh raw juices, crafts some of the best I've ever tasted.
I was thoroughly impressed by the diverse and authentic selection of cakes, breads, and snacks available. Each item is not only colorful and tasty but also caters to a wide range of culinary preferences. The freshness of their products is unmatched; everything is made in-store and never more than a week old, unlike many grocery store items that can be stale and months old.
The mix veg omelette sandwich I had was the best I've ever tasted! The bread was incredibly fresh, the veggies were crunchy, and the cheese sauce elevated the flavors to a whole new level. Every bite was delicious, and I finished my plate clean. It was not only incredibly fresh but also healthy.
I also tried the veg puffs, and they were a revelation! I've never had such authentic puffs in the USA. The crust was flaky and buttery, melting in my mouth, while the filling, made with the finest carrots and peas, was bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced.
To top off my meal, I enjoyed a fresh carrot juice with ginger. This refreshing drink was the perfect way to wash down my meal, boosting my circulatory system and keeping me alert for the rest of the day. The ginger added a delightful kick and aided digestion.
Everything I had was phenomenal, and the prices are very reasonable. I am excited to return and explore the rest of their diverse menu soon. I strongly recommend everyone to check out this amazing...
Read moreLoved this casual Indian bakery. The best chaat ever. I had the Dahi Sev Puri and the Hydrabad Chicken Dum Biryani. Both were excellent. I also ordered a delicious fresh squeezed orange juice. The portions were generous, and the prices were fair. I appreciated the friendly service. Atmosphere left something to be desired with a screaming child right next to me, but you can’t have everything.
Went back and tried the Pani Puri, the Dahi Papis Chaat, and the Chicken Kothu Parotta, which were excellent, the Lilva Kachori Chaat and the Bhel Puri, which were good, and the Idiyappam Chicken Korma, which was fine but not as good as some of the other items I have had at this place. The Paav Bhaji was impressive looking and decent overall. However, the paav was on the stale side and definitely not as fresh as I would have expected given that it was supposedly baked in the morning (6 am according to the waiter). That said, when I heated the leftover paav in my toaster oven at home, it was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and delicious. I think the problem was that the paav they served me in the bakery was not heated. Also tried the fresh squeezed watermelon juice, which was excellent. The carrot and ginger juice was pretty good as well.
Two items I would avoid are the Chicken Manchurian with semi-gravy and the pineapple juice. The Chicken Manchurian had an odd flavor. I had never had Indo Chinese food before so maybe that’s how Chicken Manchurian is supposed to taste, but I didn’t like it. The pineapple juice burned the inside of my mouth and gave me cramps. Probably should have known better. The bromelian in pineapple can cause...
