This is a long review so here's the TLDR: Was told by server that PF Changs is now serving smaller portions for the same prices (not sure if that's true or the server just telling me lies to get away) Food took too long to come out and came out cold (even the tea was cold) Food presentation was poor to say the least Do not order the Korean Fried Chicken. It was terrible.
I just had the worst experience at one of my favorite restaurants. I've never waited that long to be served cold, unappetizing food in such small portions ever in my life. What happened to PF Changs? I kept asking the server what was going on but he just kept shrugging and saying that things have changed. He told me he was new and couldn't speak on what my expectations were based on previous experiences but for the couple of months he's been there he could tell that people are noticing that things have changed and do not like it. We had a party of 8, we ordered 2 Dinner Specials, 2 Chef's Feast for 2 and 3 regular priced menu items. That should have been more than enough food for everyone there but no... not even close. When did PF Changs change their portion sizes? I was just there in March and we were able to share our entrees if ordered from the regular priced menu... Portions just a couple months ago were appropriate for the price. This time I paid 26.99 for Mongolian Beef and it came out in a smaller plate than usual, with maybe a serving spoon and a half worth of beef buried under a mountain of scallions. They need to change their picture on the menu to match what they're actually going to give you. We ordered shrimp fried rice from the full priced menu for 18.99 and it had 2 shrimp in it. And it also came in this tiny plate. When I complained to the server he said the Chef's Feast comes with smaller portions but when he realized it wasn't a Chef's Feast item he backtracked and said "well the portion sizes have actually changed... a lot has changed about the menu" My son ordered the Korean Fried Chicken and got a leg and a wing.. A leg and a wing for dinner??? $19 for what everyone knows are the 2 smallest pieces of the chicken. Leg and a thigh or Breast and a wing... But no... this was the straw that broke the camels back. The people who ordered the single serving Dinner Specials got waaaay more food than those of use that order the regular priced items. The server claimed that it would be the complete opposite. It was laughable. To make it worse, we waited for an hour to get our food and it all came out cold. All the server could say was sorry. Imagine waiting for an hour and then having to send all the food back?! It was my father in law's 70th birthday and he just asked me to try to make the most of the terrible situation so I did. But when they came to sing him happy birthday and only one of the staff came and sang with as if we were annoying him, I promised myself that I'd come leave a long review. I looked around the restaurant to see if we were the only people having a terrible experience and I have to say, it was dead in there so I couldn't really tell. It makes sense that the place is empty at 8pm on a Friday night. It'll most likely fall apart in the next year like other restaurants if they keep this up. I used to love this place but this experience was enough to kill years of good memories. I say all that to say don't waste your time going to PF Changs. At least not as a large party. 2 people on a date might not have the...
Read moreI eat here probably 2-3 times a month. The food is always pretty good, the parking is abundant, but I can't give five stars because of the service. Usually it's pretty good. But they have a server there named Caitlyn who has the unfortunate distinction of providing possibly the worst experience I've ever had, and I'm generally pretty understanding having worked as a server for years in college. First, for a larger party of 6, the order was inaccurate in several ways and the sushi appetizerjust plain forgotten. She did not check in on us for about 25 min, so we could not ask her about it. We finally got more water/drinks and the incorrect orders fixed by passing staff, which I really try to avoid and do as a last resort ("I know you're not our server but....."). The one time she checked on us, I asked about the sushi and she made a face as if she knew she forgot it. She came back in literally 90 seconds with it, blaming the kitchen for forgetting it. Except that it was a dynamite roll, and the sauces obviously looked like the sushi had been sitting out for at least 20 minutes. When I said we didn't want it anymore, she rolled her eyes and acted annoyed. My father in law, who owned and worked at 3 restaurants in his career before retiring, said it was in the top 3 worst service experiences he's ever had. Fast forward to today, about 6 weeks later, and while we did not have Caitlyn, she brought out some food to us and obviously recognized me. She threw the food so hard in the table it startled my husband, then made a nasty "f you" face and walked away, without saying anything. Totally unacceptable and she's in the wrong industry. I told the manager Todd, who handled it well, but I am writing it here because it's unacceptable. I made clear we were not asking for any discount and that we always take care of their staff as regulars. We paid our full $55 lunch bill and left a $40 tip for the excellent service we did have minus Caitlyn. She is so unpleasant that it makes us not want to return at all even though the service is excellent most times. Someone like this, we cannot be the only ones, it's guaranteed. PF Chang's, there are customers out there talking badly about this place without ever returning or complaining because it's so...
Read moreI should’ve known not to dine here. I used to love eating here especially the fried rice, but it has not been the same since about 2018. My sister recommended PF Chang’s at Galleria, but I decided to go to the Sunrise/Sawgrass location because it was closer. Big mistake!!! In my defense, I was trying to see if anything had changed. I didn’t want to completely write-off this restaurant but now they’re a complete no no for me. We used the restrooms the moment we walked in and they were less than acceptable. I should have known not to eat there especially from the state of the bathrooms. My mistake #2. I proceeded to order meals. The food came back cold and unappetizing. My party of 3 definitely did not enjoy the meal. 1 person in my party verbalized to the waitress that she was unhappy with the food. We packed it to go. While gathering my things to leave, I notice the waitress whispering to another employee and side-eyeing us. Our bill came up to $170 and we still tipped her $31. I’m still gathering my things with my daughter in my hand at the table, when the waitress comes over and scoops up the cash tip off the table with attitude. Now to me, that was extremely rude. And that was my mistake #3. Lesson learned. Never again! I’ve never really seen someone collect their tip while we are still at the table. It didn’t really bother me that she did, but it was how it was done. I understood that she did not make the food and still decided to tip her. I/we did not deserve to be treated like that. It is a business, if we are unhappy with the service we have a right to voice those opinions for something we are paying for especially when we receive something less than acceptable...
