Being from Jersey it has always been a feat to find a great "like home" dining experience in South Florida. When i stumbled across Scuotto's I felt like i was sitting in my old uncle Frankie's pizza joint. Let me break this down for you:
Atmosphere: FAMILY! Everyone knows everyone. Family helps run the business and can be found sitting amongst patrons laughing and joking about fun times and reminiscing about the "good ole days"
Food: I can probably honestly say I have ordered/eaten everything on their menu. And ANYTHING you want can be customized to your liking. You just have to ask. Customs slices to custom pasta dishes. I've even had an eggplant stack ( which is fabulous by itself) with ala vodka instead of regular sauce and OMG! You'll love it.
Staff: This is where Scuotto's stands out from the rest hands down. I have never (outside of NY/NJ Pizza parlors- nothing is comparable i don't care who or where you are)... and yes I just said parlors, experienced such a close knit, fun, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Mr. Scuotto hit the jackpot on them. From Barrington to Angel to Rachel to Joey himself- without a doubt a stand up group of people. Walking into the restaurant is like going home for the holidays.
Events: Mr. Scuotto has held many events to benefit the residents of Sunrise and the surrounding areas over his many years serving the community. From charity tournaments to school fundraisers and beyond he has always and always will be there for anyone in need. You can find on occasion a quaint acoustic music set with wine tasting to a fun lively karaoke night.
Overall- check this place out!!! I promise you wont be...
Read moreI had been going stopping at SAL's 136th & Sunrise on my way home from work. I was aware of Scutto's and I tried them instead. I definitely like their food better here comes the BUTI like Fettuccini Alfredo and they do not sell just plain Fettuccini Alfredo, it comes with chicken and broccoli costing $15.95. I was not aware when I asked to get it plain they still wanted charge me for the Chicken and Broccoli. It was my previous visit where they forgot to put the 3 meatballs I ordered and paid for in the bag. I called, they gave me a credit for my next visit. I thought I will speak to the manager about how I can buy plain Fettuccini Alfredo at SAL"s for $11.95 but I have to pay for chicken and Broccoli I do not want or getting. She goes through this well I would have to sell you a plate of plain Fettuccini for $12.95 and then sell you the Alfredo sauce for $1.95 and it will still cost $14.85. I will give you $1 off your order, OK. I said OK but in reality I will not be back. This is a customer service business selling Italian Food since there are plenty of 4.4, 4.5 Italian joints. I am going to Lombardi's for my next Fettuccini Alfredo, 3 Meat Balls, Salad and Garlic rolls. They had a customer until I move but blew it for being short sighted. The food is good, I actually liked their Fettuccini Alfredo better than SAL's because it has to much Garlic for me. They have chunks of it in there's but hey I just pulled it out. So yes they are good but so are many...
Read moreCan’t believe my experience here. I had to run out to get garlic rolls (we burned ours lol) I passed Poppy’s to come here. Had my dog with me. Pulled up to window. Watched as the worker emptied the cash register, about 10-15 minutes. Beeped the horn nothing, she finally turned around, lifting up her finger telling me to wait, I lost sight of her then see her and the other employee sweeping the floors. I beeped 2 or 3 times. Nothing. Because it was too late to get to poppy’s (just about 9:00 pm) I drove around the front and walked in, asked what was going on. She simply said “oh I forgot” then she said “which one is your order” so they had orders ready to be picked up.(I’d be livid if this happened as my food got cold) I told her I hadn’t even placed one yet. I placed my order for the rolls and a cannoli. I hated having my dog in the car since it was hot. All the windows in the car were open but that’s why I went through the drive through. I barely got a smile or a sorry. Awful service. Sorry commish but you need to step it up. I know too many ppl who’ve stopped going here because of the...
