I was visiting from Chicago for my best friends birthday on 11/10. When we came in after dinner the vibe was real decentl. The DJ kept me in my groove when I walked through the door!! I was served my drink in a timely fashion & I was good. There was a group of 8 of us in the party. So in an efforts to have access to one of the empty tables We, we were told that we could use one of the highboy tables if we had a Hookah. So we got a hookah ($70) and sat at the table. Some of us were still standing cause of course there were only 4 seats. The young lady brought our Hookah and then we ordered more drinks and food. We had to have spent over $200 at this point. Maybe after 2 hours of dancing and vibing we were approached by someone who worked at the Lounge. She then said "Who said we could sit there cause we weren't on the list, and this was reserved seating?" Unbeknownst to us, we had been sitting there having a good time without knowing any rules to the seating. There were no reserved seating tags on the table either. The lady's approach was with an unnecessarily rude demeanor. This didn't rub us right and she eventually started arguing with one of my family members. Her attitude was uncalled for cause there was no disrespect on our end. I am a person who is big on how I'm treated in a business that predominantly services the African American community because I am myself African American. So I'm not one to speak bad on an establishment unless it was really bad. I absolutely understand that there was a miscommunication and we weren't able to sit at the table without bottle service, however it wasn't indicated upon purchasing the Hookah. Also you should not be able to order a Hookah without a visible seating assignment. It's not like we could stand up and use the Hookah. Then there was a young lady near me who had clearly had one too many drinks and spilled her drink all over the back of my dress. So that just made it worse. So my rating is based on my personal experience. My best friend frequents this lounge since she recently moved to that area of Florida. I'm just sad that her birthday weekend has this sour taste experience as a memory to what started as a good night. Do better VL cause we want to support businesses that have their rules in order and more personable management or service providers know how to effectively communicate...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first time going to this place. I heard positive things about there Sunday Brunch so my sisters and I decided to go. I will start with the negatives and end with the positives.
Negatives: If you want to sit downstairs you have to buy at least $200 worth of Food or Drinks. We didn't like that because it felt like they were forcing people to spend $200 or more on brunch. We sat upstairs because we did not want to spend $200. Upstairs was small and crowded. It was three of us and they sat us along the walkway upstairs. It was weird and did not make any sense and uncomfortable. The food was below standard. I ordered Grits with added Shrimp & Cheese. It taste ok but it was not restaurant quality food that a professional chef would make at a restaurant. My sisters ordered Chicken & Waffles & an omelets with French toast. My sisters waffles were burnt & the chicken had no flavor. When she told the waitress, she told my sister to hold on. When she grabbed the plate to send back to the kitchen she did not come back with a replacement. My sister had to walk downstairs to find a manager to explain what happened. She then received another plate about 30 mins later and the quality was no better. My other sister said her omelet was good however they gave her garlic bread instead of French toast. When she told the waitress, she said yes that is French toast, smh. It was nor French toast. The DJ that was on before 5 was horrible. He was boring.
Positives: We did not have to pay to get into the brunch. The decor is ok, and the DJ After 5 was lit. DJ Hercules is so good. She had us dancing. Overall, the DJ after 5pm was the best part of our brunch. I only gave 3 stars because of the DJ. Without the DJ I would have given a 1 rating. Not sure if I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am sad to say that I can't rate this Establishment more than 1 star or recommend it to anyone after my 1st and last experience. When I arrived I was told my party had to meet a $500 minimum because we were stationed at a booth,we never was told this when the reservations and deposit was made. So we moved to a table and then it was explained that we had to meet a $200 minimum for tables. This we were okay with. We all ordered with the exception of 3 people who ordered 45 mins later as they arrived after the group sat down. I had to wait 2 hours for my food. Our waitress barely checked in with our table. Never got water when we sat down. I was then told the kitchen lost my ticket and she was under the impression that I didn't want my food because 1 other person in my party canceled. Meanwhile the waitress never spoke to me. My party met the minimum and more but then they tried to charge us for a booth. Finally they realized the error was theirs and we paid the table rate. We then met with management and he said he will give a discount on the bill and he will give us the meals that didn't come to our table along with a round of drinks. We never got the drinks. The bill came but it was only discounted by $16 after we kept our end of the bargain of the $200+. We also ordered hookah and mimosa tower which pushed us well over the minimum. The food was mediocre after 2hours of waiting. This establishment was sooo unorganized. The waitress were to busy worried about how they look and who in the building versus providing quality service. Please think twice before going here. Ambiance, music and vibe is nice. But service, and food...
