Worst service I've ever gotten in my 20+ years of being local to the island. If you're reading this as a potential customer, just redirect your business to Island Delights where the service is much more friendly, personable, and efficient. My boyfriend and I decided to try it out since it was the only place open for ice cream at the time. About 8 people total in line for ice cream and 10 on staff, most of whom were either sitting in the back office kicking their feet up watching TV with the door open or socializing with friends in the parking lot. After waiting for over 10 minutes behind a group of 4, an employee shouted from across the restaurant "Do ya'll want some help or something" as if a great way to spend their quality time on vacation was to stand dumbfounded in the beach bunny ice cream line to take up space and for no other reason. We actually met and bonded over how rude she was and the other staff were, along with the people behind us. Anyways we finally got our ice cream and were waiting to be rung up for another 5+ minutes while the cashier was helping someone else. I looked to see what the problem was since she seemed to be helping the customers for so long. Turns out it was just her friends and she was talking about how much she hates it being busy. There was literally more staff then there were customers at the time. We were about 2 seconds from just walking out with the ice cream until the cashier finally took a hint at everyone in line behind her friends glaring at her. Never returning. Not sure how its even still in business other than the fact that it's open later than most restaurants on the island. I've never even written a bad review for a place before but the service was just so bad that I had to let...
Read moreWe just left here. First off the teenagers were all standing around talking when we walked in and did not acknowledge us they finally looked up and saw us and continued talking. Finally someone came over and asked what we wanted I told her I wanted the chocolate and peanut butter ice cream. The container was empty so she had to go in the back and get another one. She asked how many scoops I wanted and I told her 2. She couldn’t dig into the ice cream and said it’s to hard. She had to get someone else to try and they couldn’t get it either. She then told me to pick something else because she couldn’t scoop it out. She said it would take 30 minutes to thaw.... really?! Instead of standing around you should be filling your empty ice cream containers. One of the guys was there and I asked if he could try.... he came over and tried and got some out but then said I’m off the clock and walked away.... really?! You have a customer that needs help and your going to say I’m off the clock. Horrible horrible service! Our kids got ice cream and we left and went to another ice cream place and I got ice cream. The employees there should be paying more attention to there customers instead...
Read moreMy family and I look forward to visiting Beach Bunny each year when we vacation to Surf City. We walked in at 10:03pm because Facebook and Google advised it closed at 11pm. There were numerous people in the store and in the outdoor seating area, therefore there was no indication that they were no longer serving customers. When we went inside we were rudely informed that they were closed. One girl did apologize and that was nice of her, but it didn’t make up for the rude tone the other employee spoke to us with. I suggested they update their Facebook/Google information and again the rude employee screamed “I don’t have a website” and continued to make rude remarks the entire time we were walking out the door. The lack of professionalism, communication skills, and customer service was truly uncalled for. I’m sure this incident made other guests feel uncomfortable. Had the situation been handled more politely we would’ve just returned the next day to give them our business per tradition. Now, we will never be back and will be giving our money to a more deserving...
