Our family has spent a bit of money at Waves over the years and itâs always been OK. The prices are high. Most of the things they sell are cheaply made and donât last past one vacation...
...but thatâs what I expect from a beach store that doesnât have much year round business.
I purchased a water resistant pouch from them and it fell apart almost instantly. It wasnât abused. I took it to the beach one day and tried to bring it back the next day.
One of the stitches popped out, which allowed the webbing to unravel.
I brought it back to return it and they said no returns on beach accessories. Apparently thatâs their policy. I donât think that the policy is fair, but I didnât read the fine print, so thatâs my fault.
Unfortunately, the manager then accused me of abusing the item, which made me very angry.
She said she had never seen this happen with one of these wallets.
I accept that they have a no returns policy. That policy wasnât made by the manager of the store, and itâs out of her hands. There is no need to go any further. Certainly no need to accuse a customer of anything!
If she had simply said, Iâm so sorry but our policy wonât let me accept returns on any beach accessories and this item is a beach accessory, then I would have understood. Everyone whoâs ever worked in retail has had to enforce a policy that they donât agree with.

We found some tie dyed T-shirts that we liked for the grand babies and the sign said 2 for $15 so we took them up to pay for them and then when they were rung up they rung up for $13 a piece so my wife said wait those are supposed to be 2 for $15 and the cashier said they were and she said no the receipt says $13. So then another lady said very rudely yes they are $13 because the tie dyed does not apply to that and there is signs all over telling you that! The signs telling you that were small and attached to only a few of the 2 for $15 signs after I went back to look. So my wife said well I donât want them I want my money back and she again very rudely said I canât give you a refund I can exchange but I canât give refund now mind you we had never left the store and was still at the counter! We will not be back there because they are very unprofessional and rude not to mention not willing to take care of their customers!! Itâs just very bad business to not try to take care of customers and from the other reviews it appears we are not the only ones that feel this way so STAY away from...
   Read moreI was vacationing with my family and have been getting Wings shirts for years at SEVERAL locations. Always loved them! At the end of August this year we were at Long Beach Island and the whole family bought many items. I wish that I had not had the sales rep put iron on decals herself because mine was done very poorly with some of it missing. My husband just wore his. I washed it inside out cold delicate and hung to dry and the decal is falling apart. I am afraid to wash or even wear mine. We got several other items with no decal, and I am glad of that! We were in the t shirt business years ago and we know the process. This was done so quickly..not a second to sit or cool a little. I think that would have helped.
