I shop here every time I come to the beach, I guess you could call me a regular. I always look forward to my delicious confectioneries, especially my Rum n’ Coke gummy bears. But today, something was off. Immediately when I walked in the store I could feel something was missing. I disregarded this gut reaction and happily skipped my way to the gummy bear section. I happily sang under my breath “Rum n’ Coke gummy bear, Rum n’ Coke gummy bear”. As I made my first lap around the gummy bear table my heart sunk. I couldn’t find my bears, which I affectionately called my RNCB’s. I frantically did another lap, and then another. I searched every table, desperately hoping I had made a mistake. When I rounded the last table my knees buckled, my girlfriend had to stop me from falling to the floor. They were gone. I let out a long, agonizing cry. How would this be a Sugar Kingdom trip without my boo bears, my gummy grizzlies, them little cola koalas. I mindlessly filled my bag with other sweet treats but nothing could fill the void. Please, I beg of you, bring them back. Next time that all the Sugar princes and knights join the Sugar king at the round table hear my sorrow. The people of Sugar Kingdom need our bears. Hear my anguish. Know my pain. Give them back to me.
Other than that, love this place 4/5. Oh also, my girlfriend likes the chocolate gummy bears and they’re gone too....
Read moreCool place, but be careful of the bulk candy. Of the 2lbs of candy I got, I'd say around 30% of it was rotten or old. Most of the candy was fine, especially packaged stuff like airheads, but unless the candy is very popular, it's likely they don't restock them often. Also, beware of the jellybeans, I got almost all of the flavors and literally only the blue raspberry wasn't rotten. Stay away from the taffy too. Most of the gummy stuff was great though. Also worth saying that the prices here are definitely tourist prices (like with most of surf city). Me and my friends got about 3lbs (i think) worth of candy and a pack of jelly candies and ended up with a bill of $100ish. Take it from a local, if you want a candy store and don't mind a bit of a drive, I'd go to Fuzziwig's in Mayfaire. Damien was super nice and...
Read moreediting my review because I came in again and asked the Lady if it was authentic, she said yes. Absolutely fake. spent $33 and then the lady here today 7/19 super rude when I asked for a refund she told me she 100% didnt say that and would not give me my money back. It would have been so much simpler if they just refunded me but no she had to be rude about it wouldnt give me her name either. Provided me an email for the owners, not legible. emailing . It sucks because the man that was here the day before was so nice, but goes to show how one person can ruin a place for you. 100% do not buy labubu here. and if there is an older lady light hair working there. get out.
