Breakfast sandwiches and drinks were quite good, if a little pricey, but service was incredibly disappointing. One of our two drinks came out wrong, and rather than an apology and a replacement we were told that was what we ordered and that WE were wrong. All 3 members of our party heard the correct drink ordered. The iced latte was eventually replaced with the correct iced matcha, but only after one employee made a snide comment "she decided she wanted a matcha." We returned to our table only to find that this second drink was also wrong, made with whole dairy milk rather than oat. It neither looked like or tasted like the other oat milk matcha we had gotten initially, and so I returned it because it was for someone lactose intolerant. When I returned it to the counter, I was once again told I was wrong, and that they had made no mistake, and it was oat milk. No replacement was offered, even though I mentioned that it had to be oat milk due to allergy. I returned a second time several minutes later and was helped by a girl who seemed to be new, but was very kind and replaced the drink for us no questions asked. We visited Topsail two years ago and loved the daily grind. The doughnuts were very good and so was the coffee. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed by our most recent trip there.

It was extremely busy and getting crowded. This did not bother us as we were willing to wait. The drinks came out super quick, which we found odd considering how busy it was. I had literally just ordered and my drink was already finished. Usually good quality coffee takes time and you have to wait. We had all gotten different flavors such as smores or snickers but they all tasted the exact same. There was no difference between the drinks, it was almost like they were rushing and didn’t add any flavoring.

We also had gotten a dozen doughnuts to bring back because we loved them the last time. I have attached a photo of the doughnuts from two years ago (left) and the ones we got today (right). The ones from today were small and did not taste the same. It cost $20 for a dozen of these doughnuts. We are extremely disappointed that the quality has gone downhill in such a short period of time.
