After googling vegan breakfast, Biscuits Cafe came up. I have a severe dairy allergy and am in town on vacation. So we went thinking worst case I can eat a veggie burrito. Once inside I verified with the front staff that there was something I could eat before waiting the 45 min for our table. Once seated we waited over 30 minutes for water and to order. When ordering I stated multiple times how I have a severe dairy allergy and confirmed they could accommodate me. We then waited over an hour and a half to receive our food. (the people to the left of us dashed because the server never came back) When the food was brought to the table the burritos were disgusting and the hash-browns and potatoes were barely even heated let alone cooked. After eating half a burrito I noticed some stomach cramping but associating it with the long wait I continued to eat. I started with the hash browns and got half way through and realized there not just soft there is a flavor I don't recognize. Now I verified they were cooked in oil prior to ordering but this was definitely a butter taste. So as I sat there cramping up I asked a staff member walking by what the food is cooked in. He said oil. Then I said well I have a dairy allergy and I am getting sick so I clarified oil not butter right? He then says well its a margarin based oil!!!!!! Are you kidding me?? Thats butter!!! Now within minutes of that I was running to the bathroom with severe stomach cramps and puking my breakfast up. We then sat about 20 min at our table with my epi-pen waitng for a manager because our server NEVER came back. When he walked up to me he said, Im sorry was your burrito sad? He had a very rude condescending attitude. I then tried my best to explain my allergy and that we needed to leave. He told me that if it said allergy then they would not have used any dairy. Well I had 2 people try my food and they confirmed the taste was in fact butter. He said well let me go get the check. I said Im leaving I'm not waiting Im sick. He then preceded to tell me, of course you don't have to pay for food you didn't like you can leave !!!!!! No I didn't like the food!!! I didn't like it when it came back up.. I didn't like the cramping... I didn't like the diarrhea I had the next 2 days and the way I was shaking and not myself. We will never again come here because they couldn't even accept their mistake without blaming me. If you have an allergy I would NOT...
Read moreWe took our granbabies for breakfast on Sunday, 10/5. The food was good, it always is, we come here often for breakfast. I am very unhappy and I was very upset with the service our waitress Selene provided. We sat at our booth, a few minutes go by. She comes and asks what we would line to drink, we order our coffee and apple juice for our babies. I take my granddaughter to the bathroom, when I return 5 minutes later, our drinks were already served. Then a party of 5-6 comes in and sits behind our booth. Selene comes and asks for their drinks, we are still waiting for her to take our order. So she takes their drink order, then she returns and brings their drink, while we are still waiting for her to take our order. Selene takes their food order, (I'm very upset at this point), as she is walking away after taking their order, my kids other Gramma asks Selene if she can take our order now, and Selene said I will back....so I stand up, go towards where all the waitress are at and asked to speak to the manager. Anyway, Selene didn't take our order, the servers supervisor took our order instead. Selene would come every 5 minutes and ask the table behind us if they needed anything, and if the food was good. She probably checked on them about 6 times.. she asked us if everything was good about 2 times. Of course I was very upset. I'm a paying costumer, I'm a very good cash tipper because my son is also in the service industry. I also complained to the store manager. Selene, we all deserve to be treated with respect, don't ignore your clients, don't give an attitude. I have always love biscuit cafe, the food is delicious. I gave it a 1 star for the service that was provided to me personally. TO KRISTANEY: The email you provided in your response,...
Read moreFirst time here. Came around 11am on a Friday, sat within minutes. Hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Waitress came quickly with waters and got our drink order. We ordered a mimosa flight and a pomegranate lemonade. The mimosas were good, cranberry, strawberry, pineapple, and orange. They were filled to the brim! So much that it was actually inconvenient not only for the waitress who brought them over but for us as we had to clean up each once before taking the first sip. I appreciate getting a full flight, I would just fill them a tad less. We also received a strawberry lemonade instead of pomegranate. It wasn't really a big deal, so we didn't mention it, but I'm sure our waitress would have taken care of it if we did. We ordered an Avocado Benedict and the chicken fried steak. Both were good but the benedict was dripping in hollandaise sauce, which the sauce was good, but just way too much. It made everything a bit soggy quicker than it should have. We got red potatoes and loaded hash browns as sides. Both were good, no complaints! Our waitress was really sweet, our drinks and food came out really fast. We did wait quite a bit for both the check and for her to come back and get payment. With as fast as the food service was, I was surprised at that, especially since they weren't super busy by any means. Overall, food was good, friendly staff and clean restaurant. Will come back...
