We love this place!!! My wife and I moved here from Pennsylvania and wanted to find an original painted showing something of local desert scene with a vibrant sunset. We didn’t know where to start and thought we were going to have to drive to a larger vacation destination town to look though larger galleries in hopes of finding our vision. But after a Facebook post in a Surprise group, we were pointed to a few local galleries. Although our vision was not hanging on the wall, we still bought a few paintings that day. More importantly with the ability to walk and peek-in most artists workspace we were able to see not only finished art for sale but also those still in progress. With that we came across one artist workspace with a few finished pieces and knew right away that we wanted her to contact us regarding a commission piece. She had a business card there and my wife reached out to her. She actually came to our home and not only looked at the wall it will be on, but spent almost an hour discussing our vision, color palette, and elements we wanted included in the painting. Long story short…if you are local to the area you don’t need to drive to a gallery in Scottsdale or Sedona, there are fantastic and very talented artists of all mediums right here in this gallery. If you don’t see it, just ask the front desk and they will take your information and give it to an artist they...
Read moreWho would have thought an art treasure would be in the neighborhood of the auto emissions testing site? I sure didn't, but now I'm spreading the word! Not only is there a changing exhibits gallery, but you can walk around the artists' studios and see them in action and willing to chat with you. Don't stop at one though since they look great in groupings like they have by the reception desk. When I went there was a sculpture show going on that had everything from a giant fried egg to imaginatively paired objects, and a charming depiction of puppy love. Surprises around every corner and helpful volunteers and staff add to...
