I’ve had my hair done at this salon before, and it was perfect—as you can see in the first photo. Unfortunately, the stylist who originally did my hair no longer works there, so this time I chose Donna (June 2025). I clearly explained that I only wanted my roots touched up—no changes, just the same blonde color brought up. For some reason, this wasn’t understood. Instead, she dyed my entire head, and attempted to bleach my brown hair, but didn’t lift it all the way. The result? Brassy, uneven sections and a complete loss of the tone it had taken my former stylist so long to correct. I didn’t realize how bad it was until the very end, when it became clear this was the final result. She kept repeating that “it takes a blonde to color a blonde correctly,” which felt ironic, frustrating, and completely laughable considering the outcome. To make matters worse, another customer was visibly upset with her own results during my appointment (different stylist). That alone made the atmosphere really uncomfortable. BUT WAIT, it gets worse. Toward the end of my appointment, when I was finally able to put my glasses back on, I noticed blood on the stylist’s face, between her upper lip and nose—smeared, but visible. I tried to brush it off, but then I saw blood on her hand as she began cutting my hair, from her thumb to the tip of her pointer finger. It was disgusting. She had stepped outside briefly earlier, and I don’t know if that’s connected, but it was extremely unhygienic and unacceptable. She mentioned it was her first day back after taking time off to care for her sick daughter. I understand that life happens, but professionalism and sanitation should never be compromised, especially in a salon setting. I typically only get my hair done once a year because it’s such a big expense. But this time, I spent $300, and the more I washed it, the more orange it became. Purple shampoo only helped so much. Yesterday, I finally decided to dye it back to my original brown color myself, because I just couldn’t keep walking around with brassy, uneven hair, and I don’t have another $300 to spend fixing it professionally. I haven’t been fully brunette in nearly a decade, so this entire situation has been absolutely devastating. Yes, I cried—a lot. It might sound vain, but it took me a long time, a lot of patience, and money to get my hair to a place I truly loved. To have it undone in a single appointment was heartbreaking. I would’ve posted this sooner, but I moved across the country two days after the appointment and didn’t have the time until now. This experience was disappointing, unsanitary, and far below what I expected, especially from a salon I once trusted.

I’m leaving this review with deep disappointment after an experience that left my hair visibly damaged, my time wasted, and my trust in this salon completely broken. Stylist Paige assured me during our June 10 consultation that she could achieve the look I wanted in 2.5–3 hours. Over the course of three appointments totaling nearly 10 hours in just 5 days, I experienced improper coloring technique, overprocessing, and tone issues that she admitted were incorrect, including mixed-up toners, excessive backcombing on my thin hair, a bleach bath, and use of a drying purple shampoo. The result was brassiness, harsh bleach lines, and a “money piece” that was overly light and uneven. I returned for a second appointment where Paige asked me how to fix it, a deflection of responsibility no client should face. Only after I pressed for her professional recommendation did she suggest lowlights and re-toning. The tone slightly improved, but the damage was done. Despite all of this, Paige has since been promoted within the company, while I’ve been left with compromised, fragile, and shedding hair that ultimately needed to be cut short to manage the damage. Even more frustrating: The District Manager agreed that a refund was warranted, but said only the owner, Michelle, could issue it. After days of being ignored, Michelle finally responded, offering a small refund, stating that because I liked my haircut, they didn’t feel obligated to return the full amount. This completely dismisses the fact that my hair so damaged I need it cut again. I will now need to pay someone else to repair what was done. This entire experience happened during a time of personal grief and travel with my son. Instead of support and professionalism, I was met with excuses, avoidance, and a business that prioritizes internal promotions over true customer care. If you value your hair, your time, and your well-being, I strongly advise going elsewhere.

My hair is a mess. Tried not to cry while getting it done, I asked my hair tech if she had done highlights before and she said yes. I told her I was nervous because of her comments. She kept saying "these things keep falling or having hard time setting the foils. She kept asking for help others would show her how to set the foils and she seemed frustrated. It was getting close to closing time and another tech told her to apply another product. He seemed nice but I didn't realize there was a problem. I was then placed under the dryer for 5 mins asked to pay and I told them I wanted to see the final look before. She asked me again went up to the cashier paid the fee. 136.oo total. They washed my hair and applied toner towel dried, I pointed out I had some orange tones and yellows. They kept saying it's because of my dark color that's why, to come back and they would apply the bleach and help correct the color. I felt so helpless and regretted my decision to come to this place to give them a try. They gave me small portion of blue shampoo to correct and cancel the orange. I came home applied it and looked at the mirror and noticed the uneven chunks. I have large orange spots near my scalp. In tears don't want to go back.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!

I cannot believe some of the other horrible reviews that have been posted, but I would like to take some time to clear things up for everyone who wants to go here, you will NOT regret it!!!!

I have been going here for years, and I lived in Chandler, a good hour drive away just to have Tiffany do my hair. She is amazing. The other review posted on here couldn't be more false or hurtful or even untrue. I have since moved to Washington DC and the ONLY reason I have to come back to Arizona is to have Tiffany do my hair. I am 3 hours from New York City, where some of the best stylists in the United States and even the world are located and money is not an issue and I would still rather have Tiffany do my hair. She is always on time, polite, extremely friendly, I have never ever had one problem with my hair cut, my color, my extensions or anything else with her. In fact, she is the ONLY person I will ever let touch my hair. I have referred several people to her over the past several years and they all loved the job she does on their hair. I get compliments on my hair everywhere I go. Since I spend the majority of my very busy life in airplanes and airports, I frequently get flight attendants and passengers commenting on my hair and how great my color looks and how great my extensions look. People cannot believe that I have extensions because they look so real! Even my boyfriend forgets they are in there! I actually made an appointment to fly in tomorrow just for getting my hair done, I have no other reason to go to Arizona now since I have moved and switched jobs and my family moved a few years ago. The best thing anyone can do is to go to Arizona Hair Company and get their hair done by Tiffany.

The weekend receptionist is always extremely friendly, and strikes up conversation. A lot of stylists have been there for years and since I fly in every 4 weeks to have my hair done, all of them remember me and ask me about how things are going since I moved. They have great stylists and they are all very friendly all the time. I have never once had a bad or rude experience there. I am pretty put together and all business all the time, but I can't help being chatty with Tiffany and the rest of the staff there, because they are all so friendly! They instantly make you feel relaxed and like you are part of their family.

As for the non tinted windows, they keep the salon in there pretty cool, sometimes I freeze, but it is Arizona in the summer time, there are only 2 temperatures, hot and hotter. The salon faces towards the sun when it is setting, so much like anyone's house, it might feel a little warm, but I assure you the salon is kept at a comfortable temperature.

It sounds like some people are impossible to please and too critical. I am a very critical person, details are a part of my life, I have never once felt anyone was rude to me in this salon, I have never once felt rushed or felt un-taken care of either. And it isn't just because I have been going here for years, I have referred several people there and directly to Tiffany and my cousin forgot to tell Tiffany that she was my cousin so it has nothing to do with me and the treatment I receive because I am a loyal customer, it is how they are here. Very accommodating and welcoming and super sweet at all times. They have a great bunch of girls here as stylists, none of them are bottom of the barrel stylists or almost beauty school dropouts, they are all amazing. I have never once seen an unhappy customer leave this place, ever.

Do not believe the other horrible reviews on here, and trust me when I say go to Arizona Hair Company and go to Tiffany, you will NOT be disappointed! You will not be disappointed with any other stylist there either, because they only...
