Against my better judgement, I gave this Wendy's another chance, just because it was convenient and I was very hungry. I was pleased to see that they had a fish sandwich, so I ordered a combo. Cost @ $11.
When I sat down to eat, I poured the fries onto my tray and realized they were unusually thin. They appeared to be overcooked, and about a third of them were either dark brown, or hard as a rock. I separated those out and took a picture, if anyone's interested. I then looked at my fish sandwich. It also was an extremely thin fillet, and it also seemed overcooked. I bit into it and confirmed that it was very hard and tough on the outside and tasted very oily. If I hadn't been short on time and very hungry, I would have returned this entire meal and demanded a refund. Regrettably, I ate it, with the exception of the inedible fries.
I took the fries to the counter, showed them to the cashier, and told him the fish was also overcooked and terrible. He brought another worker to look at them. She said everything was cooked on a timer, and that's just the way it was. But, she said she would mention it to the owner. I left, still hungry, and disgusted. What I got for my $11 meal was a bad case of indigestion.
I understand inflation. I understand downsizing portions and upsizing prices. But, I also know that, when reducing cooking volume, heat and cooking time usually also need to be reduced. That clearly didn't happen here!
I also understand that in retail business, repeat business is essential. That clearly is not going to happen here, either.
I've been a loyal and satisfied Wendy's customer for fifty years. I've depended them for good and efficient service, quality food, correctly prepared, and delivered at a reasonable price. I was cheated at this Wendy's, and I will not...
Read moreWanted to try the new Bacon Maple Chicken sandwich. Used app for the first time and the order was directed to this restaurant instead of my preferred restaurant. I guess there was no way to cancel the order via the app or at the window where I was. Well, when I rolled up, it was visibly a location that I would never visit and had a line wrapped around the building like In-N-Out but with food nowhere near as fresh and "clean." For comparison, when I pulled up to my preferred restaurant, was asked how I was doing; at this restaurant, after a long wait at the intercom, was abruptly asked what can I get for you.
They had my order, and it looked quite terrible as you can see. I also ordered a separate taco salad, and there were chili stains on the bag and container like they were running a slop line in there.
I also now realize that the sandwich should have been on a croissant.
The restaurant didn't appear to be as nasty outside as, say, the Chik-fil-a just across the 60, but it might be worth your time to take a short drive up W. Bell to a different location where you will pay the same but are more likely to get what you pay for and without the slop line mentality.
If there any app mishaps in the future, I will simply order where I want and dispute charge because I have to file one anyway. Everytime this happens, and I try to not create waste, something is wrong with the food, and not surprisingly because these locations look like something would be wrong with the food, which is why I would never eat there to begin with.
The app needs a "cancel order" function like Chik-fil-A, problem solved.
All in all, food looks like the...
Read moreI don't write reviews , but I couldn't let this one pass. This Wendy's is by far the worst fast food restaurant in the world! I had to go back 3 times and on my 3rd trip going back because my order was either old or cold items. While on my 3rd trip back (keep in mind I never left the parking lot) I decided to call them the minute I called and asked for the manager they hung up I proceeded to call back and ask for the corporate number, they hung up by the 3rd time they didn't say anything they just answered the phone and put the phone down when I went Into The lobby instead of the drive-through the manager was on her way out. the minute. She saw me, the 1st thing she said was, "What did they do now?" I explained to her what had happened. I also explained that someone keeps answering but not saying anything and that im still on the phone. Her words was I can give you your money back, but what about the employee that keeps hanging up and now just sitting on the phone her exact words was it's no longer my problems and grabbed her cigarettes and her purse and walked out the door. The next manager was just as bad as the last. He didn't try to talk to them or ask the employees who had the phone. the only thing he did was apologize.. every employee their was between the age of 16 and 20. I called corporate. Guess what? Nothing has been done... One last thing the inside is NASTY....
