Even though I had a stuffy nose when I entered, there was a very strong smell of flowery disinfectant that never really went away. The place was clean, gorgeous decor in traditional American Chinese. Real glasses set the stage beautifully. The waitress was polite and quick to bring water. She brought the soup and then the egg roll. The egg drop was delicious, and the fried wontons were fresh. The egg roll was more a spring roll but tasted just OK. The carrots in it were huge for an egg roll. And the ends are too greasy. It looked as if they had reheated it. The tofu dish I got was delicious even if It was a little overcooked. The tofu should have been more pillowy and not chewy on the edges. I ordered the deep-fried dumplings to go, and they waited until I was finishing my food to cook it. I hope my daughter likes the General Tso chicken I ordered her. It looks as if it has a lot of vegetables in it. If so, this is a rare place that serves it this way. Most only have a few pieces of broccoli in it. The waitress brought me a delicious coffee jello type dessert that was fabulous. I would order it with a topping of whip cream (not the real cream they use) I am allergic so I had to...

Let me start by saying, I loved this restaurant order here all the time, the food is good, fast service ect however tonight I called to place a pick up order on my way home, I picked it up got home and realized half of my order was wrong. I called the restaurant and they told me to bring it back but I was already home and situated so I did not want to do that.. the owner got on the phone which is the person that took my order and proceeded to tell me that the order I’m saying is not what I said, he asked what I wanted him to do and I said if he could refund it that would be great because we aren’t going to eat what was given he proceeded to scream at me and talk over me saying that I wasn’t going to blame him for something that I didn’t say and that if I just wanted a free meal all I had to do was say that it continued until I decided to hang up. I order the same thing every single time I come here and they could have looked at my order history. I have never been talked to like that by a business owner and I am honestly appalled. It was a mistake that simply could have been fixed with a refund but now you lost a customer for the way I...

My husband and I were headed into the restaurant next door when I decided to ask someone coming out of Peking if the food was good. He said it was good and that he had been there for the third time this week. We decide to give it a try. It has that old school early 90's decor and vibe, dated but very traditional and kind of cool. I decided to order chicken with veggies and when I discovered that the dish came with a brown sauce, my waiter immediately offered to prepare it with a white sauce. Perfect! The dish was perfectly prepared with a generous variety of fresh vegetables, (mushrooms, onions, celery, zucchini, carrots and broccoli). The sauce was nice and light and not over-seasoned. I appreciated having my water delivered in a very clean water goblet and not the typical "too tall" plastic cup. This was the first time I have completed drinking water with my meal in more than a decade. They must have a serious water filter because that water was delicious! Service was very attentive and this was a...

Well, it’s been years since the last visit but we tried it today because our favorite spot (Eastern China Taste) was closed for the holiday weekend. To our surprise, it was an absolutely dine-in experience. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and authentically decorated. Our server (owner) was very attentive and made our experience wonderful. We had hot & sour soup, egg drop soup, spring rolls, shrimp fried rice and chicken Lo Mein. Everything was excellent, tasty, and not over seasoned. To note, our Fried Rice was customized with no veggies, extra egg, extra onions, and dark sauce. Amazing!!!!! With that, I would highly recommend Peking for authentic Chinese food. It is especially for folks looking for a nice authentic home cook meal. Now if I rated our area, it would be 1) Eastern China (flavors), 2) Peking 3) Wei House (seasoning), 4) PF Changs (vibe) and 5) Chens (portions). We have been missing out; no wonder it was rated best in Gwinnett 2024.

This is the real authentic Chinese fried rice with egg, onion, bean sprouts, soy and fried. I paid $10 but it was plentiful. House fried rice had real thick sliced chicken breast, prawn-like shrimps and real cubed pork tasting meat. I really enjoyed this selection.. I almost gave up on finding the authentic Chinese fried rice. Especially because it came like boiled rice tossed with light soy. Regular veggies: carrots, peas & no oils at all. Some places even do the Lo Mean bland. Not fried. If the rice did come deep brown not a thing was in it. Thanks 👍 to Peking.
