WORST BAR AND BUSINESS I HAVE EVER STEP FOOT INTO. I am from out of town and stop to hammerheads with a buddy at night to grab quick food. Upon entering hammerheads we walked into the front door where the host had to finish her with her phone... & before sitting or assisting us. From there we went to the bar to order food the bartenders never addressed us to place a order we asked a waiter if we could place a order with her we were told no.. she told us to place it with the bar and walked off... after waiting waiting and waiting... my buddy calls the bartender over to ask if we could place a order.. she tells us to wait after waiting she comes over & this has got to be was the most RUDE person I have ever encountered in a business situation. As I am ordering my food she has a nasty attitude and when I ask her questions about the menu she kept responding with “WHAT!” And “ I mean I guess” no friendly service at all but the group of men next to us she could casually get them beer refills and laugh with them but addressing us with seriousness and rudeness. We waited and the food finally came out. The bartender just throws our food on the counter and goes here you go... mind you I ordered the shrimp Alfredo now (which was delicious) but found Mac and cheese in my bag. When I went to ask her who’s Mac and cheese this was. She stops me and literally tells “ I don’t know whos Mac and cheese that is you figure it out” LIKE WHAT..?? she’s the one is a employee for hammerheads if I wanted to figures orders out I would work there... but I don’t SHE DOES & mind you WHEN I NEVER EVEN ORDER MAC AND CHEESE I HAD ORDERED ALFEDRO. It gets even worse as we are paying for our food the bartender goes is there a problem my buddy brushes it off and says no. I tell her there is a problem I don’t like the service and treatment we got while here there are thousands of bars and restaurants & my money does not have to be spent HERE!! she goes as far as to call my buddy a Sensitive customer. My buddy doesn’t take the insult well from the bartender and they exchange words read this very very carefully. AS MY BUDDY IS WALKING OUT OF THE BAR SHE GOES “ I SHOULD HAVE SPIT IN YOUR FOOD) this coming from ANY FOOD ESTABLISHMENT IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! I asked to talk to the manger I believe his name was Steve. GUY COULD CARE LESS WHAT HIS EMPLOYEE WAS DOING HE TRYED TO GET HER ATTENTION TO TALK TO HER AND SHE WALKED RIGHT PASS HIM WITH NO ACKNOWLEDGMENT. I TOLD STEVE HE MANAGES A BUSINESS WITH FOOD AND HIS EMPLOYEE TOLD A PATRON SHE SHOULD HAVE SPIT IN HIS FOOD LIKE IT WAS A CASUAL THING TO SAY SMH. ALL IN ALL I WOULD AVOID THIS PLACE TO THE GREATEST!!!! UNTIL THEY GET BETTER MANAGERS BETTER EMPLOYEES AND BETTER SERVICE IVE BEEN TO MANY BARS, FOOD ESTABLISHMENTS, & ETC and can say I was never handled with such DISRESPECT that I received from hammerheads if I could I would have gave it zero stars but as I am forced to leave one star that’s what they shall receive. Hope my review sheds lights for other travels and you avoid this place so you may have a nice vacation because hammerheads definitely set ours back a couple...
Read moreBless Ashlynn! She saved the day.
Got there around 8pm I informed our server at the time that we had two extra people joining but they were gonna be late. We ordered a drink each with two appetizers. Everything came out quick and was delicious. The oysters were perfect! We also ordered the shrimp Monterey. I don’t really like the texture of mushroom but I love the flavor. My friend ate the mushrooms I picked at the shrimp and sauce. It was so flavorful. They served it with some toasted bread which I dipped in the sauce. Soooo good!
We enjoyed the ambience of the live music and chit chatted while we waited for the rest of our party. We were in need of another drink and it wasn’t long before the server checked on us and got that taken care of.
The rest of my group finally showed up. It took a while for the server to come back and get them waters and drinks. They decided to go to the bar to grab a drink. No biggie it was a busy night. We got settled back in our seats and the server came over and they ordered more apps. The apps came out promptly. They ordered another dozen oysters and the oyster rockerfeller. Oh my gosh, the special oysters were my favorite! Highly recommend getting them over the raw, either is good though.
I noticed our server walking past us multiple times without checking on us. We were definitely in need of more drinks and wanted to order some entrees. Ashlynn, another server, noticed the disappointment on our faces so she asked if everything was okay. I’ve been in the service industry and I know how things are so I told her we were fine. About 5-10 mins later we still didn’t have service and Ashlynn again asked us if everything was okay. My party member explained the situation and Ashlynn immediately took things into her hands and provided us quick and excellent service. We were able to get our drinks very quickly and put in entrees. We came for the crab legs which didn’t let us down. Cooked perfectly the goodie came out of the shells as smooth as possible. We chit chatted with Ashlynn a bit more and finally got our checks and departed.
This place has amazing food and a great bar ambience. Lots of seating and a huge patio area. It could have been a bad experience but having servers on board like Ashlynn really makes the guest feel welcomed and...
Read moreWatch for the SCAM! I have been going to Hammerheads most Sundays during football season for the last 4 seasons. NO MORE. Today I had two Woodford Reserve bourbons on the rocks. The price neat is $9.50 per drink. That seems high to befmgin with. When I got my check it also had an extra $4.00 tacked on for "Rocks". So they added $2.00 per drink for on the rocks. I questioned the check to the waitress and she told me that the do a larger pour due to it being on the rocks. Did not look like a bigger pour. Maybe it was, maybe not. I asked to speak to the manager. In the meantime I looked at the drnk list and menu. No mention of extra charges for drinks on the rocks. Manager states the extra charge was due to larger pour for drinks on the rocks. When I stated that was not anywhere on menus she responded that the waitress should have informed me. That did not happen. The manager was good enough to remove the $4.00 dollar charge but stated it woukd not be removed next time. I advised her there would not be a next time. It should not be up to the waitress to inform someone of this, it should be clearly stated on the drink menu (which did not list spirits or cocktails anyways). I have never been charged like this anywhere, nor this much for a simple bourbon the the rocks. Woodford is good, but not a premium brand.
Your food has never been better than mediocre. Now this. You have...
