J&Gs is one of my all time favorite pizza places! I remember walking over, during after Friday night football games at Northview high school, to go in together for a pizza with friends. You know when you go on vacation and want go to a restaurant that you can't go to in pretty much any town/city? This is one of those little town Gems that you want to visit if you are in the area! While I HIGHLY recommend the House special (minus mushrooms, my preference) the Gyros here are the ONLY ones I'll eat. I've tried them elsewhere and none have even come close. I am sharing pics but be warned they were all already dug into as soon as they hit the countertop lol so the pictures will do them justice... Did I also mention we had to drive 30 mins 1 way to get them so they were not as "piping hot" as they could be if we lived closer.

This was one of the worst pies I’ve ever had. No joke, I’ve had many frozen pizzas better than this and for 5% of the wait. I waited 90 minutes for this pie. There was no sauce on the pie. The crust was doughy for a thin style, which I actually asked for “well done” to ensure crispiness. The cheese was extra salty. There was no redeeming quality to this pizza. I gave it away after two slices it was so bad. The people working behind the counter had no idea what they were doing and continuously left the ovens open as they couldn’t figure out what pie was ready. They also handled the pizzas with their bare hands, which I’m pretty sure is a Food and Safety violation. Overall, it makes sense that the locals would appreciate this since they have absolutely no reference to what is actually a quality pizza place. I’m certainly glad I don’t live here. Score: 1.2 out of 10 - garbage.

First time and we're coming back...often! For a hole-in-the-wall, the ambiance was very quaint and surprisingly clean (men's bathroom was spotless). Our waitress was super cool, attentive, and made great menu and beer recommendations. The food was terrific. We ordered a gyro, (the best gyro I've ever had) and shared a pizza -which was crazy good.In addition, their home-brewed beers (I had their IPA and Scottish wheat) are made in the basement and tapped to the dinning level and are super amazing. Seriously, you don't know beer (even craft beer snobs like me) until you have tried something made this fresh. BEERGASM! In all, this restaurant offers delicious food, awesome micro-craft beers, and great service at a reasonable price. See you guys next weekend!
