I have to say this was the biggest disappointment in a long time for me. I absolutely hate phone companies because of the lying, the cheating, and the hoops they put people through. I usually either went without a phone or I used just a simple trac phone. But when I got married my wife convinced me to just be added to her plan and I could get a super nice phone, and have a good plan and everything. Told me T-mobile was the best company she had ever been with. It took us some time cause we had just been married and we were a little low on money with the wedding and what not. But I went in, picked out the phone I wanted and talked with a girl that seemed to be very nice. Obviously the phone's down payment was a little too much for what I was willing to put down on a phone. But the sales rep (by the way... here is her sales rep #5857938) had told me about the Jump on demand program. Told me that if I went with a simpler phone and waited for a month I would have been able to upgrade to the phone that I wanted no worries, I wouldn't even have to pay anything down to get the phone I wanted originally. I originally wanted the LG V20. I even checked with the rep to make sure the phone I wanted was eligible and she stated that it was. I was skeptical. I asked for it in writing but she stated that she didn't have that option of doing so. Which was stupid of me to not see that coming. But sure enough I go in after waiting after the 30 days, and then some, to go get the phone that I had originally wanted. And low and behold I was lied to AGAIN!! I honestly should not be so pissed about some stupid phone but I just can't stand how people can lie just to get some damn sale to boost their chances to get a commission or what ever kind of bonus. But I digress. I went in, asked about the jump program upgrade, was told that the phone that I wanted to get was an option, and that I would have to pay 280 dollars to upgrade. The whole reason I wanted to do this stupid jump program was that I wanted to get the phone that I wanted, and not have to pay anything but the added monthly bill and that was it. I was told that I would have that option but screw me for trusting a sales rep from a phone company. So rep I was speaking with went to the back to check if they had the phone in stock. And they didn't even have the phone. I asked him if I can just have them order the phone in cause I would have been willing to wait and just pay the damn 280 dollars and been done with it, and just moved on and gotten over it. But he stated that they can't even order phones in. I mean why even have a store front with the phone displayed if you don't have it in stock, and you can't even order the damn phone? That is the biggest load of horse hockey I have ever heard of. Trying to just see what other options I had he gave me the list of options on phones where I didn't have to pay anything down to upgrade and stated that they didn't even have those in stock either. I just don't understand how you would tell someone "oh, by the way here are some of the other phone options that you don't have to make a down payment on. But oh yeah. We don't have any of those in stock either." I just have to say... I cannot believe how stupid all of this has made me feel. I should have just went with buying the phone I wanted in the first place and just dealt with it. I usually don't even write these review things, cause I know what it is like being on the reverse end of them and I usually don't say anything and just get over it. I have never been dragged around in the dirt like this before by a phone company. And the best part is that I am still having to stay with them till this stupid contract ends. But I promise you this, unless something amazing happens, I am not going to continue with this company. I would have given it a 0...
Read moreBe careful if you are switching over from another carrier before your lease/contract is up, we got stuck with a $320 bill. We went to get four phones for our children at this store. The staff was very nice and no complaints about the four phones. My wife's phone was with another carrier and still had 6 months before the lease/contract was up. She had an I-phone 8 and would like the new 10. I appreciated that the staff wasn't being to aggressive in the pressure to switch her phone, but made sure we knew what they had to offer. The manager assured us that they could pay off everything if we switched over. We have been burned before and didn't want to get stuck with a bill from our other carrier, so we were hesitant and ask several times how our other carrier would be paid. We were told that we would receive a prepaid visa to pay off the phone/contract. We decided to move forward with switching my wife's phone. I was nervous at the hand written math that was being done to determine what our plan/bill would be. Each attempt came up with different numbers. When it came time to finish and were expected to pay larger amount than expected that day, we balked and began to rethink our switching the one phone. The manager came over and changed somethings on the computer and said "There, now you won't have to pay anything today." At the conclusion I asked for clarification on how we would pay our phone/contract off. They again told us that we would receive a prepaid visa. Satisfied, we left. A side note: we have been pleased with the phones and the network, having service in places that we didn't with our last carrier. Now comes the bill. We owed $200 for the phone and $200 for the early termination. They approved the $400. We received a prepaid visa for about $80. We went back to the store to get clarification. We were told that they used the other portion of the money to get us out of the door without a payment the day we switched. I took my bill in to show them the $400 I owed, and that I still needed $320 for them to meet their part of the agreement. They took photos of my bill and reapplied for a prepaid visa for the difference. Now our bill with our other carrier is past due and we were just contacted by the T-mobile promotion department and told the second request was denied. They said the $320 was used as a deposit and there was nothing more they could do for us. I thought the sales people were nice, but either uninformed on how their own procedures work or purposefully deceitful about how they worked our transaction. I don't feel I have any other recourse shy of expensive litigation, so I opted to eat the $320 and leave this review. Be very wary of any verbal agreements while at the store. Good luck, I hope they fix the way they do business, they may have got one good sale out of our family, but word of mouth has a far reaching affect, both...
Read moreA few days ago my wife and I came in because we both switched to Tmobile in November of 2021. We also got the Z Flip 3 which we love both love. However, mine started cracking in the middle which was fine until my screen started blacking out until it did not respond to anything so we brought it in where a blonde male with a lot of tattoos "helped" us. As someone with many visible tattoos, it pains me to leave this person a bad review as we have a rough rep as it is but this person more than earned a bad review. So, here it goes. We walk in, there was a woman with two children checking out with the other store associate and the blond one came right up and we had barely started to explain what the issue was when he grabbed the phone while interrupting us to say that it was the screen protector which we tried multiple times to say that it was the actual screen with the problem and not the screen protector, that the manual says specifically not to remove the screen protector but he just immediately RIPPED OFF THE SCREEN PROTECTOR and says "oh, well I guess it is the screen"..... So, he says that the warranty is 6 months to a year which it had only been since Nov. but his systems were running slow he said and that my phone was no longer under warranty. He then said that I should take it to Tricked Out..... I immediately left which I never do, called Samsung, it is covered under warranty and thankfully my wife was with me otherwise who knows if they would have believed that he took off the screen peotector because they told me that removing that can affect whether your phone is covered under warranty. This guy could have had me out a grand or more because he had no drive to solve anything and just assumed he knew best and was the opposite of polite or helpful. I took it to a different store and they replaced the screen under warranty with no issues at all. So, might want to rethink how someone like that could benefit your store. Because it was not busy at all. No one was waiting. He was just too good for his...
