I have the flu so I ordered soup and other items and my husband went to pick up. My husband left from there and drove 18 minutes home to find you once again gave us an incomplete order. I have not gone to this store since November 2024 because this same thing happened then. A sandwich was missing items and I had to return to the store at that time and the staff asked for the sandwich so they could add toppings to the now cold sandwich. Fast forward to tonight when I ordered Zupas from the Syracuse location against my better judgement.

I was missing a $9 chocolate and strawberries cup order. I added noodles to the Wisconsin cauliflower and confirmed that on my receipt and that is also missing. I could get over it if it weren’t for the fact that at 7:10 when my husband picked the order up it wasn’t totally dead in the store or the fact that this happens frequently at this location.

If anyone was answering the phone I could respectfully and politely ask for a refund. When I arrived carrying along the flu with me there were 9 people working and 2 customers in line with no cars at the drive through. I had to repeatedly ask for assistance and then just asked dor a manager. The young man just looked into my eyes and said not one word. Regretfully at that point I expressed my frustration but I was just a woman with a fever asking for the strawberries she paid for.

Thank you to the lady who finally gave me what I had paid for and upgraded to a large too. I won’t be back to this location but thank for the strawberries.

Signed - Your pissed off and hungry and sick former customer who just spent $56...

UPDATE: Zupas was very quick to reply to my review which to me, shows they care about their customers. Because of this I will give them another try and I moved my rating up as well.

I have eaten here several times and everything was great. TODAY was horrible! We walked in at 11:00 before the lunch crowd started. It was obvious they were trying to fill a large to go order. Not a problem. BUT with five people working in the order area, someone could have at least acknowledged us. WHEN this did finally happen the gal on the far right was definitely annoyed with us. My two friends finally got their order taken (no eye contact at all) and I was put on ignore. I was finally acknowledged when I told my friend that I would help her with her tray since she was carrying her baby. I told the very annoyed gal I wanted a sandwich and soup. The sandwich order was put in but there wasn't anyone to work on the soup. I went and helped my friend get her tray to a table since it was obvious that making my sandwich was an inconvenience while 5 people worked on the to go order. Finally my sandwich was made but no soup. I was at the Zupas in Riverdale yesterday. Night and day difference in customer service. Right now, if I want Zupas I will go to Layton or Riverdale.

Poor customer service can kill a business. Management needs to review this with their staff and how to fill large to go orders but still help those who walk...

We go to this location often since it opened near our house. The food is good but the price is a little steep. I don’t necessarily mind it because I feel the food is good but I don’t think it makes sense to feed a whole family here. It’s good for just me and my husband though. I wish they added more meat on the salads. It’s a very small amount and for the price, it should be a larger portion. The toppings are also pretty lacking in QTY as well except for the lettuce. They give A TON of lettuce and then a few pcs of each topping including the meat. Additionally, any toppings over 5, costs like 60 cents a pc. Once you see how little of each topping goes on, you will def want more than 5 toppings to make it a substantial salad. They do mix your dressing into the lettuce which is a plus and the toppings do taste good. I also enjoy the soup options like the chris (tomato basil and cauli soup mixed) and the chicken enchilada. I do think the large soups are worth the price compared to the salads. They also give you a chocolate covered strawberry and a roll with each full size meal so that is nice too.

The food tastes great and I haven’t had anything that taste bad there which is why i am giving it a 4 stars, but the pricing does make me want to...

Completely disappointed with our experience at this location tonight. We have had less than great experiences at this location before but tonight was the worst. I placed an order for pickup and when I picked it up no drink was given to me to go with the kids meal. When I asked for the drink I ordered (orange pressed juice fountain drink) the employee told me to look through my bag and see if there was a drink and if not she “guessed I could have a juice box” which was not what I ordered. When we got home we found the kids meal which was supposed to have 2 chicken strips had only 1 strip and a small chunk of another one as the “2 strips” and then when I opened my mango berry salad I found that it had not one single mango in it and only a couple berries total on top of wilty, dry lettuce. Ended up tossing the salad because it looked so old and gross and having to go somewhere else to get more chicken for my son. Waste of time and money, won’t be back and will certainly make sure everyone else in the area is aware of the service here. Such a shame that this brand new location has already gone completely downhill.

Something is wrong with this location, either by design, inadequate training, or process issues, or all of the above. Missing items and/or wrong items EVERY SINGLE time when ordering through the app. If you choose to go to the Syracuse Zupas, make sure you dine inside. That way, you won’t get home and be disappointed when they’ve messed up your order (because they will). You’ll already be there to have them fix it. On our most recent visit (2/6/24), the soup was filled at a ridiculously low level. Called the store to ask how much SHOULD be in the Try-2 combo and they said 12 oz…lol, we measured our order and it had 4 oz…6 spoons full. The previous time they didn’t include a sandwich because they ran out of the meat. They didn’t let us know or credit the sandwich. The time before, they forgot the strawberries. Something is wrong EVERY TIME. Again, either dine-in or go to the Layton Zupas where they seem to do take-out orders more correctly.
