We decided to hit this place while in town for an event. My initial reaction to it was "worn out retro", which is hard to describe. The colors were muted, and many of the tables seemed quite worn, although nothing appeared torn or anything. Nothing seemed dirty, so all is well. We ordered our food, which at least had gluten free options (I have two family members that are gluten free). We realized after ordering that it seemed like everyone had been waiting for their food for a while, so we were a little nervous. Finally the food came out to the two tables that had been waiting for a while before us, one of them immediately found that their order was wrong, which didn't instill much confidence. Our order arrived shortly thereafter by the person that had taken our order, who basically started handing the order out without explanation of what was what. We stopped her and asked which burgers were gluten free and which weren't, and got a blank stare (she had no idea what was what, even which were or weren't gluten free). She had to go get someone from the kitchen to confirm which was which (no labeling was done of any sort). While waiting for them to show up, we figured out which burger was which, and determined that out of the 3 burgers ordered, 2 of them were wrong (missing cheese [which the burgers come with by default] on one and bacon on the other). While confirming that the order slip had the descriptions right (it did), I also discovered that even though I had multiple things removed from my burger (house sauce and onion), I was charged for BBQ sauce, which just seemed odd since net-net there was LESS on my burger than the standard order. Anyway, I was also missing the bacon I had paid extra for, which I had gone to hunt down a waitress to straighten out. When I got back to the table the cook had come out and answered the bun question as well as grabbing the two burgers that were wrong to correct them. The cook was quite friendly and apologized, but the waitresses seemed to have a bad habit of disappearing after bringing food out, eliminating the ability to straighten things out. The order got straightened out, but please understand that the fries and the burger patties are extremely thin, so by the time we got things back, the fries were stone cold and the burgers were getting there. However, things tasted good admittedly. While eating, the third table had a problem with their order to. So, out of the 4 orders in the building, 3 were wrong in at least 1 way; not a great record. We're not rushing back, which I was bummed about, as it reminded me of Steak 'n Shake that I grew up with (also known for thin patties and shoestring fries). The frosting on top was the sham parking ticket we got for not turning our wheels the right way when parallel parked, so watch out for that and read all of the signs (regardless of how small and colorless the sign happens to be). That was just a side note, and didn't change my viewpoint of...
Read moreCame here for my step kids last meal before catching their red eye flight back to Ohio. Super disappointed in the service. I had 4 teenagers and they were super excited for shakes and to sit at the bar to watch them make them. The lady who took our order was the manager I found out later. She asked us if we wanted everything for here or Togo and I said for here. They made our shakes in plastic cups. This family sat right next to us and they all had shakes too. They all got there’s in the glass shake cups with the extra shake in the metal cup and the big spoon. I heard the guy ask for it but I didn’t know it’s something you had to ask for. Why would you have to ask? When I was refilling my water off to the side I asked the guy that made our shakes why ours were in Togo cups and he said because they are closing soon and the other family specifically asked for glass. We placed our order a little after 8:00 and they don’t close until 9:00. We were gone by 8:45, which is plenty of time to wash some glasses. I work in food business, if someone orders a glass of wine 10 min before close we don’t put it in a Togo cup. That was a sorry excuse. Later on I heard the manager tell the other family, “I’m glad you asked for glass, sometimes we just get on autopilot and make them in plastic”. So that told me that the closing soon excuse wasn’t real. Throughout the meal she was going above and beyond for them, giving them extra things like gummy worms to try in their shakes and she kept asking how everything was. She never asked how our food or anything was. I had to ask for my water cup and our sides of ranch from someone else because she forgot. I overheard that family was visiting from Poland, but I had kids from out state also visiting so it goes to show you should treat all Guests the same and go over above for everyone. This review is to ask a question, what’s your standard at shake shake shake? Is it putting all shakes in Togo cups when sitting at the bar with hopes to get the full experience? Is it Togo cups unless glass is requested? If that’s the case then ask at the time of taking orders if they want glass or plastic. Shake shake shake can do better. This visit was very disappointing compared to past visits. And even more so knowing that the manager lady was providing...
Read morePoor customer service. This was our first time there and were excited trying this place out after hearing good things from friends. We came in, ordered our food and was sat at a table. We waited 30mins to get a burger and two shakes. We watched the people behind us get their food and then leave and we still had nothing. In fact the burger that was ours was offered to a different table. Do to Covid they have 5 tables... 5. With three in our area. We watched as the workers stocked things, walked past us. Didn’t ask a thing. Then when I finally had to go up and make them aware of their mistake they then came back to the table and asked us what we wanted to do. Really!!! Have the food we paid for.... so we asked for our money back and they gave it back without any remorse. Then when the waiter came back they blamed it on the cooks putting the burger on the wrong tray.... 🤔 so how does that explain the shakes never being worked on. Once we walked outside I came back in to ask just that and what really went wrong. Not only did the workers keep staring at me but again felt no remorse for the error on their part. Just a. Please come back again... say what!!!! Other then really wanting to try the shakes why would I come back with service like that?!? We didn’t make a scene, or were loud. Just got our money and left. But with the no remorse and if I was the workers I would have got the food for you and still gave your money back to you but this was not the case. Very very pour service and disappointed.
Pic below was the owners reply if it can’t be seen:
Wasn’t saying I wanted free food but just look at the review below. Just shows once again the poor poor customer service. Most companies would apologize and say please try us again…. Let’s give the customer service of this place a round of applause for...
