Long review but it needs to be noted.

You're basically paying for the vibes, and instagramable aesthetics. I was skeptical of this place due to that. Most grass/flower wall neon sign IG places are much to be desired. I will say the service was great and our server and the manager are VERY nice. Our server messed up on our drinks and quickly corrected the action and comped the wrong ones she served us.

The food is seriously lacking. It's overpriced and I can make better food at home. The eggs were not fluffy, the steak was very small and tough. The potatoes seemed like they were reheated like others have mentioned or frozen potatoes lacking seasoning. The only good items were the burrata salad and scones. Also steak was served with guacamole? They should serve it with chimichurri or something! Id expect more options for $35 a person. The salad should come out first and the scones last as a desert. Potatoes should come out with steak/main course.

It's $20 for a table side champagne with juice and the whole "experience" but the experience is them bringing it on a cart and pouring the juice for you. 😐 oh and ONE small glass of mid champagne. 2 chambongs is $30? They should have the option to get a bottle for a certain price plus the fun chambong glasses on the side. They have have veuve listed for $90. $90 or veuve? I dont Understand that mark up for a mid champagne but i don’t own a business so maybe its accurate idk.

I'm disappointed because this is really what Tacoma needed and it was nice to see so many women in one space.

The lighting in the phone booth is too fluorescent so hard to get a photo, and it's too dark in front of their main neon sign.

The chairs at the high top tables are small and uncomfortable. It's giving cheap Wayfair or Amazon. If you are a thicker woman with a big booty don't sit at the bar seats or high table top seats. I dont weigh that much and i felt like like i was gonna break the chair.

If the food made up for these prices i would not mind paying that!

I'm convinced some people in Tacoma don't know what good food is or maybe everyone reviewing them knows the owners or the chef was having a good day?

All in all i had a fun time with my girls but definitely won't be back until they make some changes with their menu and chef.

Take caution or be wary when considering this restaurant based on my experience. It’s not worth $75 pp. I’d rather have good food in place of the chance...

Arrived at 11:45 for Sunday Brunch service. Upon walking in there is a DJ which would be fun if it wasn’t directly next to where we were seated. The music was so loud that I had to scream in order to communicate with my friend.

We ordered our drinks - I got the Filthy Mocha and my friend ordered the Blackberry Mule. My drink was yummy, and strong. Hers (which was a mule that traditionally has ginger beer) was flat and syrupy sweet. We also ordered the Cumin In Hot which is described as a chile-lime drink, again - sickeningly sweet, both served in coupe glasses no ice? We sent them back in exchange for the Brunch Punch which was a typical mimosa in a pitcher, nothing special.

At this point we had received our o n e Pumpkin Scone (to share? Which is so odd to charge $35 per person for a brunch service and bring one scone to share……. really shouldn’t have to explain this much more l o l) and we had now been there for an hour+ after ordering our entrees with no food in sight.

We pulled the waitress aside and explained that we would be paying for our drinks and leaving as we had run out of time. 5 minutes later here comes our food - completely skipping the second course of potatoes and arugula salad per the brunch pre-set menu (brought out by who we believed to be the owner) which we declined.

I read through comments and see many reviews like mine with no follow-up, no accountability, or acknowledgement from the owner etc. They took the food off our tab but no apology, nothing to make up the fact that we sat there for nearly an hour and a half just to drink shitty half ass uninspiring expensive cocktails in a “cute” atmosphere - which almost seems like a ploy to get patrons to spend more money...

Disappointing but good food Really was looking forward to going here. Bubbly is my fave and we love to support places in Tacoma. Thought it was more of a lovely and fun brunch spot but it’s more of a ‘whoohoo girls’ ( not ladies) atmosphere. Walked into a DJ in tiny room couldnt talk hostess could hardly hear to check in. Then we were sat at a tiny table with tall chairs neither of us could tolerate(my hubs is 6/4) They were kind and moved tables which was good there was no way food would have had room to be served Infact the table next to us moved our former table over to hold food Biggest disappointment was the bubbles. So sad I got a flight that had no originality and worst of all it was not served in a flute or coup but brandy type glassware It was also warm and of course went flat right away. I wonder if bottles are not kept with a cork or on ice. Very sad for a place all about bubbles to be served poorly Good part is food was fantastic We got brunch which came with biscuits (which was actually one scone ) and an arugula burrata salad (ours didn’t have dressing but still good ) and seasoned potatoes I got the avacado salmon toast and hubs got steak and eggs Toast was exceptional and a large portion Hubs loved the steak eggs were ok. Odd part is they brought the potatoes out and the salad and then the entree much later. I’d have preferred it together although I can see having the scone or biscuits first. Service was fair. Atmosphere interests like an influencers dream We may try again because the food was good and a nice price point but not if the beverages don’t improve and I’m not sure how to tell...

Great drinks, great food, great staff! What more could you ask for? My wife and I were able to preview this brand new mesmerizing champagne bar on a weekend getaway from Bend, Oregon and will make a point to come back every time we visit Tacoma. The sleek yet plush atmosphere is very welcoming and has a retro boutique vibe to it. Their chef Angel and servers are both charming and very good at what they do. Our bartender Makayla has a great command of the bar with extremely efficient movement that's fun to observe. In addition to The Powder Room's magnificent wines and bubbly offerings, their signature cocktails are uniquely delicious with freshly muddled herbs, fruit and florals... you might even consider them artisinal creations! You'll enjoy perusing The Powder Room with its elegant & eclectic decor elements while there, and be sure to check out all the IG postable spots they offer. If you're looking for great bubbly, delicious cocktails, Michelin-level small bites and desserts, engaging and uplifting music and uber-friendly staff, then this is your must see new place in Tacoma's Stadium District! In conclusion: The owner/managers, Mark, Cameron and Kia have this place dialed in. We love everything about The Powder Room, and will be back anytime we are in town.
