Charlie's Chicken Tahlequah — Restaurant in Tahlequah

Went thru the drive thru 2/1/22, around 5pm. I wondered why I was the only car in the drive thru, and the parking lot was pretty much empty, but, I have always really liked the food, and never had a bad experience with the service.... That is until this time. I ordered the 2pc mixed dinner, which comes with a drink for my grand daughter, a chicken fried stk dinner for myself, which also comes with a drink. As always, I was asked what sides we wanted with our meals, then asked if there was anything else. I said yes 2 Dr Peppers. When I got to the window a young lady opened it, said here's your Dr pepper and started to shut the window . I said wait.. we have 2 drinks, she said well she put one on here, looking towards the cash register. I said well both meals come with drinks, she said no so I said yes they are supposed to according to the menu board, she asked me if I said #1,:or did I say two piece meal... because the meal doesn't come with a drink . I was frustrated by that point, tried to tell her I ordered 2 drinks when asked if I needed anything else, but couldn't get the words out of my mouth, her attitude and the look on her face were so . distracting.. The mashed potatoes were not edible. The gravy like water. The mixed two piece had a wing and a thigh. The cole slaw was good, and the rolls were good. They aren't good enough to make me go back though, at least not to this location. Thanks Annalise, lesson...

Very upset I was told on the phone they didn't have a whole cobbler

I could only buy a couple servings

I ended up walking in watched the server scrape the sides of a empty left over cobbler to serve me

Once he has them filled w scrapping from the sides and burnt crust

They layed out a whole new cobbler fresh cooked I asked If I could just buy that whole cobbler being as it is fresh

The manager woman came to the counter screaming at me I cannot have that cobbler it is not for sale I can only buy servings and her tone and anger was uncalled for

The other man there apologized for the manager ladies actions and let me go ahead and get the whole cobbler which was for a children's event and I didn't know what else to get for dessert

I'm so embarrassed for this manager lady and she needs to step down a few levels and realize people don't need to be angry constantly and allow certain people to buy only certain things and other people only other things I do not understand

I called in a phone order to pick up after leaving work on the way home. I've been there numerous times. It is a favorite of mine. Their large Chicken Sandwiches are delicious and are made with real mayonnaise not Miracle Whip which I find to be disgusting, sorry Jonathan. They are always piping hot and pair well with the potato wedges. My favorite thing, though, are the chicken gizzards. They are crispy and spicy but not spicey hot. Though, I'll bet that would be tasty too? Certainly something to think about. Unfortunately, their chicken livers are always dry. I occasionally, check them out but it is always the same. Maybe they cook them as long as the gizzards? They shouldn't. Livers are not as dense and don't need to be cooked as long. Maybe someday... I do like all of the hot and cold, sweet and savory sides, especially the fluffy orange "salad." I also enjoy the broccoli grapes salad and the tomato cucumber salad. Dad Gummit! I'm making myself hungry again. I need to write these reviews after. I have...
