Double Barrel BBQ — Restaurant in Tahlequah

We found ourselves hungry in Tahlequah so we stopped at Double Barrel BBQ. This restaurant is inside Tahlequah Drug and it's a pretty nice place. Service was prompt and friendly. The food...well...it was hit and miss. My wife had smoked chicken with "smoked macaroni & cheese" and I had jalapeno smoked sausage with the same mac and baked beans. The smoked sausage was decent but it didn't look overly fresh and was only luke warm. The beans, on the other hand, were SCALDING hot! Like burned the roof of my mouth hot. Pretty sure they were Bush's. The chicken was dry and flavorless. The smoked mac was the only thing that stood out and it was better than average but nothing to write home about. I tried the hot & spicy sauce and it had a little sweet heat. $16 for a one meat meal with 2 sides isn't terrible so there's that. All in all I doubt I'd go out of my way to return. Terrible Service. Waitress completely ignored me never even acknowledged me. Some guy in the back rubbing his hands all over his jeans yelled we will be right with you from the back. Waited 5 more minutes then the waitress proceeds to just start checking customers that came up well after I had already been standing there. Complete waste of my lunch break do not recommend.

Update. Owner got a hold of me and apologized and admitted fault for everything. That goes a long way in my book when someone is trying. He offered me a free meal and his phone in case I had any other inconvenience which was way above and beyond. I politely turned down the free meal because that's not what was intended. Man, this place is so nice. Everyone got full and satisfied with their dinner without spending much $$. The waitress we had didn't have the usual professionalism about her (absolutely not a negative), but seemed very real and was easy to get along with. She was very accommodating to get our large group seated together, as the place is very small. The ribs I had were phenomenal, as was the sides. I got their jalapeño cheesy corn and broccoli, which looked and tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly and not mushy.
