This was my first time eating Hot Pot. The staff serving us was fantastic and there is nothing more on their end that they need to improve on, but I've got a few words about my experience relating to the food.
Presentation wise, the self serve bars for ingredients is great. It's clean, fairly organized, and simple. The labels are a little ragtag but if I were to take a guess it's because trays must move in and out to swap with fresh stuff, and it's easier just to move a label around instead of having a dedicated spot. Some of the labels were missing though or didn't really give any indication to allergens or what they had in it, like the Bao (Is it beef? Fish? Pork? Dunno. Just says 'Bao').
The dessert is bad. It's self serve containers of Hersheys ice cream and a few cakes / macaroons. Nothing is wrong presentation wise with this but it kind of just feels like you're eating the concept of dessert. The small cake pieces are really airy, and bland beyond just being sickeningly sweet. If you've ever had the misfortune of eating something from a department store that doesn't sell food like Ross or Homegoods, you will know exactly what I'm talking about. Not to mention to our horror someone's unattended snot goblin decided to scoop their own spoon into the self serving peanuts tub at the dessert bar and take a bite, then return the same spoon to the tub. Thankfully an employee saw this at the same time we did and immediately replaced the tub.
Overall, the hotpot and BBQ experience is really fun and tasty, but steer clear of the dessert and be sure to ask your server plenty of questions about any stuff, they're really nice and willing to...
