Bad service and a poorly managed kitchen. I’ve been here multiple times, and it’s been hit or miss until now. Tonight was a busy night for sure, as the college football national championship was on and they had specials, but that was no excuse for the horrible service we received. First, the waitress notifies us that the night’s specials don’t start until kick off... no problem. Well, once kick off started we could not find our waitress until the end of the first quarter of the game. She finally comes by and I have to stop her in her tracks for us to be able to order. We order the special, featuring wings and a pitcher of beer. The restaurant was busy, so I expected the food to take a while. I did not expect that our drinks would take well over 20 minutes, with no update from our waitress in between. Now on to the entree... which took well over an hour for us to receive. I understand the restaurant is busy, and really my main concern is not with the food taking a while, but the waitress did not come update us or let us know about anything. It felt like she actively avoided us by not looking at our table and by walking around different areas of the restaurant. When I finally say we’re still waiting on our order, she says “Oh wow you haven’t gotten your food yet?” as if it’s not her job to come check on that matter. Finally, I get my food but my roommate has not. In fact, I had already finished all of my food by the time he’d gotten his (he confirmed I could eat without waiting for him because he understood I was hungry). When his food arrives, it’s the completely wrong sauce on his wings. He decides it’s not worth waiting an hour to send the wings back and get the correct ones. He’s then charged full price for the wings, even after speaking to the manager and explaining the situation. The manager offered to bring him the wings he wanted, but let’s be practical, we’re not waiting for those wings to come back.
I’ll never be going back to this restaurant. Bad service and the food has never come in a timely manner. Some stuff on the menu is decent but it’s not worth...
Read more3/07/22 My wife and I showed up excited to try this place out (we love cajun food)! Right away we were told that the water is shut off so no restrooms and only beer & daiquiris to drink. We order gator tails for an appetizer and they were out so we order fried pickles instead which we didn't finish because they didn't taste great. (Old oil maybe?) My wife order a chicken wrap and said it didn't have much flavor, (bland) nothing special about it and definitely not worth the $14. I order a bowl of seafood gumbo which arrived after everything else. I immediately noticed it wasn't hot or warm, gave a little taste and was repulsed!! Not only was it cold, it tasted old and a little sour, immediately I sent it back with our waiter!. I let the wife finish eating and then we get the check... I was displeased because I sent back my gumbo uniformed and was told after trying to remove the charge from the bill (nothing said when I sent it back) that I MIGHT have gotten 50% off another menu item if I had chose to exchange them but I'd still have to pay for the gumbo I sent back?!? A little over $50 and I left unpleased and hungrier than when I arrived. Expecting to eat and pay, I sat and paid and still had to go find something else to eat afterwards! I wouldn't go back here for 10...
Read moreThis review is a long time coming. Back in mid-May I needed to place a to-go order (a rather large one) that I was delivering to a family in need. Tally had just gotten hit by a big storm, and many of Coosh's staff were unfortunately not able to work due to the storm. On top of that, the weather on this particular day was also pretty crazy and people were losing power. Coosh's had decided to close their doors early ahead of the storm. However, they stayed open to make the last minute order I had called in. Logan, (the manager and owner's son) was quick to open the door for JUST me so that I could deliver this meal. He was so kind and helpful. He even carried the food out to my car in the rain! What Logan didn't know, was that my father had passed away the night before. His kindness and effort to provide my request will forever be appreciated. ON TOP of that, in learning of my father's passing, Logan then gave me a Coosh's gift card for my family to come back to enjoy our own meal. I have always loved this restaurant, but Coosh's has now guaranteed a customer for life. Don't hesitate to visit this outstanding establishment. Amazing Cajun food and variety, excellent customer service, and a top-notch...
