Buddy Brew Coffee — Restaurant in Tampa

We frequent a few South Tampa Buddy Brew locations on weekends, but favor Bay to Bay location. We recently purchased a pretty expensive espresso machine so we could enjoy daily Cortados at home but were on the verge of returning the machine because we were so dissatisfied with the results. We had purchased a bag of beans from another roaster that we were less than impressed with so we decided to purchase a bag of espresso beans from Buddy Brew to make sure the issue was the machine and not the beans. Even though we arrived at the Bay to Bay location just before closing, Jerry took the time to explain (and demonstrate) machine settings and other techniques to get the best results. Needless to say now that we have the fresh and delicious Buddy Brew roasted espresso beans coupled with pro tips from Barista Jerry, we're keeping...

My partner and I visited this location as the first stop on our adventures and were incredibly disappointed.

Immediately upon entering, it felt very uncomfortable and unfriendly. When we approached the counter to place our orders, the barista was incredibly unfriendly, to the point of ignoring me completely when I tried to greet her. She did not seem like she wanted to be there.

They got a vanilla iced latte and I got a chai latte. Their iced latte lacked flavor, it was basically just ice and milk. My chai latte was okay, it tasted like chai!

We also split a slice of the seasonal loaf, which was a banana bread with chocolate and nuts. It was unfortunately very bland. I genuinely believe I could make a better one at home lol.

The prices were good in comparison to other places but overall...

You guys are literally 2 mins from my job. But I’d rather take the extra 12 mins and go to the one on Kennedy. My order is either wrong or just gross/watered down. I’ve scheduled an order for 8:10am and I got to you guys at 8:00 and my drink was already out waiting and completely watered down . Thank God i didn’t get there at 8:10 like i scheduled it for, and this has happened on numerous occasions (i come 3-5 times a week). Kennedy doesn’t put the ice in it until i get there maybe you guys should try doing that. And honestly figure out what they are doing because their coffee just taste better all around and every one in my office...
