Fold Harbour Island — Restaurant in Tampa

8/2/25: Ate there with a couple buddies during Tampa Bay Comic Con (it's very near the convention center).

Atmosphere: Decent. Clean, open, and with well-spaced tables.

Service: Okay. Though they weren't crowded, it still took a pretty long time to get a whole pizza made and delivered to our table.

Food: EXCELLENT! This is really the one that counts, and I'll say this: The pizza here was the best I've had in YEARS. It makes you remember why you should stop eating so much low quality chain store pizza so often.

The dough was just the right amount of chewy (like I like it). The ingredients were fresh and original (the "Nico" and "Cubano" are highly recommended). The cheese was fine. But the thing that REALLY made this pizza was THE SAUCE. You know how cheap pizza barely has any flavor? Well, this pizza resides on the opposite end of that spectrum: The SAVORY NOTE after you take a bite is immediate and satisfying.

The manager (who stopped by our table) said it was because of top grade ingredients and especially the water they use. I don't know exactly what it was - but it was DELICIOUS.

Expensive? Well, yeah - compared to an el cheapo pizza. But it's also a lot tastier than an el cheapo pizza. And at least these pies, which average around $25, were good size.

So when you're in the mood for GOOD pizza, go ahead and treat yourself.

And if you're in Tampa for a comic con like I was, feel free to throw in an extra...

I was really disappointed with my recent visit. I ordered two slices of pizza to go, but was told they don’t offer boxes for slices. Each slice was placed on a separate plate, and then one plate was stacked directly on top of the other, right on the fresh, hot pizza. This felt very unsanitary since the bottom of the top plate had been sitting on the counter, and the cheese ended up sticking to it.

When I politely mentioned this to the staff, they seemed confused, which made me even more concerned about their food handling practices. On top of that, the pizza itself wasn’t very good. Unfortunately, we ended up throwing one slice away and won’t...

I’m from Chicago and I walked in there and immediately knew they were going to go above and beyond. They did just that. I spoke with the owner and told him I wanted him to cook me up something special. Whipped up an off the menu pizza for me with meatballs, and an insane sandwich that was delicious. I took my best friend, his kids, and my girlfriend there. We had a great time. The staff went above and beyond for us and I highly recommend this place. Late night hours for the drunk crowd is a great idea too. This place is the spot. Amazing food. Amazing staff. Will be coming every week...
