Im still questioning why I decided to try this restaurant after having such a rude experience in another location in Brandon. I still wanted to give them a try… For starters how about we talk about waiting for the host a whopping 22 minutes to even acknowledge my party and the waiting area became crowded by around 10 people. Upon being assigned a table, we wanted a booth so from the get go the waitress didn’t like that. After a long wait of 31 minutes we sat down at the booth. The waitress tried to keep cool but I’m sure he was stressed and over worked since he kept asking what we wanted after we placed our order in and furthermore came back twice to confirm our order and in the end messed it up and brought the wrong plates and definitely not what we ordered by far. I didn’t complain or even mention it and started eating. Eggs rolls were simply delicious for being frozen, not sure if it was my resignation, hunger or overall state of decay in service and main course but it was delicious. The Lo mein was dry and chewy. Food overly salted and the orange Chicken (which they brought over sesame chicken was bland and somehow a weird… Brown rice fried had nothing in it although when I asked the waitress said it came with: “vegetables, eggs, ham and a few other things” I was plain Integral rise, if you threw that rice ball onto the roof it would stick for a looooong time. The coca-cola had no flavor and it more looked like dirty water. (Probably low on syrup) I wanted to order something else but we were forgotten at the table and had to dry eat what we could. I reached out to another server asked for another drink and she said “certainly” by pass us a few times and never brought anything, when I asked her about the drinks she said “I’m sorry sir, I’m not your server and I have tables to take care of” By the time my waitress came back I only wanted the check to get out of there, he asked if I wanted boxes for the food I said no thank you just the check. 15 minutes go by I make contact one more time from the table towards the kitchen and with a hand gesture asked for the check he nodded… 11 minutes pass by when he comes out with the check. (The restaurant WAS EMPTY! 5 tables taken through the entire restaurant.) He took a while to come back with the receipt upon signing it I left him a “lousy 5.00 dollar tip” and he had the audacity to confront me and ask me how come I only left him 5 dollars. I apologize asked him for the 5 dollars back so I could leave, but of course he kept the lousy. Music taste was pretty good the over the decor is nice.

We've been going to P.F.Chang's for nearly two decades over two states and NEVER seen anything like what its become. Go for lunch on a Saturday, told there's no lunch menu, instead its a "Test Menu" they are rolling out in the Tampa and Clearwater, I want to have lunch, not be a test subject. Our server Angel was fabulous, so no reflection on him, and even provided a free lettuce wrap coupon for next visit, but I don't think we'll even use it. The only lunch options on this Test Menu are to build your own, which winds up being as much as the the new "Family Style" choices by the time you choose what you exactly want, case in point, the Mongolian Beef, The build you own menu starts at $18, but $5 additional for this Mongolian selection, so instead we decide on getting the Mongolian Beef "Family Style" which is stated as a "sharing size" and $26. It arrives and kinda shocked, cup of rice and barely enough for two let alone family style, see picture, this is just SAD. You figure the higher priced "Family Style" for $26 would be more food but nope. Just an overpriced Dinner size for one. Between that, lettuce wraps, and dumplings, it was $75 and I was hungry an hour later. As stated before, we've been going for nearly two decades, and when we lived close to one we went 2-3 times a month, and now that were in FL and a little a ways from them, its a bit of a hike so we save it for special occasions, as in this weekend for an early Mothers Day lunch with my wife. Last two times before this there were issues also, at the Brandon location I had a whopping amount of eggs shells in my Kung Pao Chicken, manager was amiss as to how it got there, and then at this same Westshore location, the server pretty much forced us to use a self pay option at the table, and was doing the same with others. So I think at this point we're at the 3 strikes your out phase, was good while it lasted.

Talk about an annoying experience... Main issue is PF Chang's "Changs Cash" is BS and failed to mention you had to spend $60 to use your $15 reward. I looked through all 36 FAQ questions on PF Chang's Rewards FAW, and not one thing from PF Changs state you need to spend $60 to use it; NOT ONE! Backstory - Get a $15 reward to sign-up, yay! Upon ordering, I got an error saying I can't use my $15 reward, so I look at PF Chang's Rewards FAQ for details. Since there was seemingly no issue, I call PF Changs to confirm how to use my "Changs Cash", and was told by them that I need to use it in the store for it to work, despite the FAQ saying "Changs Cash" works with online orders. When I get to the store, the hostess has to get the manager (Natalie) to approve, and eventually am told I must spend $40-60 to use the reward (this being the person I talked on the phone with prior). So nowhere on the Rewards FAQ states this, but was navigated to a different website location to find this fine print... I should have just went to Publix. The food, experience, service, and bs rewards program are not worth a return visit, despite our office being next door. I even boasted about the great rewards program to PF Changs guests who were waiting before hearing from the manager. I went from being a Promoter to a Detractor real quick...

The pork egg roll was overcooked or overfried and tasteless and not presentable .The white rice was hard and not ripe enough to eat .The white lady with golden hair and wearing spectacles ,seemed working in the kitchen most of the times ,does not know the restaurant's hospitality how to greet or talk nicely to an Asian customer like me ,and simply blamed me for taking her photo ,which I actually did not take at all ,and she wanted to check my handphone as proof of not taken, like she is a FBI ,so I showed her, and off course there is none of her photo in my handphone ..being oversensitive to customer yet no courtesy to apologize for overacting...for goodness sake, please do not put this kind of untrained staff in your restaurant to serve customers,it will spoil your PF Chang's name in long term ... when I first walked in and greeted by a young lady in reception counter ,I told her 1 person and pointed at the front corner table that I would like to sit there and she noded and invited me in..then this gold hair lady wearing spectacle walked out from kitchen to my table and said I should not sit in without being ushered, and wanted me to come out,but I told her the front reception staff already noted and let me sit at that corner table...she wasn't happy when I asked her do you want me to walk out and walk in again ?When I wanted to place food order and waved at her when she passed by,she just ignored me....finally another male staff came to serve me and took my food order. When the bobo peach tea was served and wrong thinny straw was given,i asked her for a bigger straw for bobo purpose and she straightaway told me no other straw and only have this type of thinny straw ,she did not even checked first and told me none ...but then the front reception staff managed to get me the right bigger straw without I asking from her...if this golden hair spectacled lady is racist against Asian customer ,please dont work in ths famous PF Chang's Asian restaurant...it really made my dining experience bad this time, despite I am a regular customer since I came to Westshore Tampa from California...
