Smoothie King — Restaurant in Tampa

If Zeus, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and a bowl of acai had a love child—it would be the Daily Warrior smoothie from this Smoothie King.

Let me paint the picture: I strut into Dale Gandy Smoothie King like a gladiator entering a Colosseum. The doors open automatically because even they know greatness approaches. I’m greeted by a staff so cheerful, I suspect they may be powered by smoothies themselves. One of them (Pedro) even winked at me—I think it healed my childhood trauma.

I order my Daily Warrior, and within moments, I’m handed a chalice brimming with dates, berries, bananas, peanut butter, spinach, and what I can only assume is liquified ambition, this thing doesn’t just nourish me—it transforms me.

After one sip, my posture improved. Two sips in, I suddenly remembered all my passwords. By the time I finished it, I was ready to conquer life’s biggest battles: traffic on I-275, awkward small talk, and leg day. I’m invincible. My girlfriend noticed.

The staff? Angels in aprons. Smoothie chemists. Frothy geniuses. I half expect them to break into a flash mob every time I walk in. They treat me like royalty, and my blender-born beverage is like a royal decree. And I respect that.

In conclusion, if you’re looking to be successful. Here is your invitation. All you have to do is take a sip.

Current review: 3 star Ordered a 32oz smoothie and received a 26oz smoothie. Whenever the owners are there--who is awesome by the way, it gets done right. Next time I'm in the plaza I'll just check in to see if one of the owners are there before ordering. Otherwise I have doubts it will be up to par.

I ordered two smoothies through the smoothie king app, and the vegan mango 32oz was made poorly. There were large chunks of ice u blended, and it was bland. I assume too much ice/water, but it could be a poor recipe (first time trying this one).

Luckily I've worked smoothie king for years and fixed it with my blender, added some stevia, and fiber for emulsification.

I haven't tried the other smoothie yet, so there may be another review coming on that one.

Hopefully this is a one-off, but I will never use the smoothie king app, as door dash directly will refund full/partial amounts for this situation.

I haven't completely written off this location, but I've got maybe one more try in me, then I'll wait for a while..fresh blood comes through often in these sort of jobs.

This is purely a review for the young woman working there. If it were for the store it would be much lower. I went in at the lunch hour and she was the only employee in the store. She was juggling washing containers, handling tons of online orders, cashier and customer service. I did not catch her name but she should definitely be applauded for her excellent customer service. There was a rude customer as well during the 25 minutes I was in there (yes I waited patiently as I knew the predicament she as in) and she handled it all with grace. It was great see someone so young running the entire show with a smile on her face.
