This was the worst restuarant I have ever been to, I went there with my family of 5 (including myself) and this was my experience:
When we walked through the door with our masks on and everything, the first thing that the rude owner/waiter said was, "Close the door behind you." This was extremely rude and she treated us like employees rather than customers. As a result of our feelings towards this, we didn't close the door and the rude waiter lead us to our table.
Before we sat down, the watier said, "Keep your mask on until you've ordered your drinks." You'll see why this factor is important later on.
We sat down at the table and waited shortly until someone came and waited our table. The waiter was a man and who I believed to be the husband of the rude waiter/owner. He took our order and got our drinks, just waters and wine.
But, shortly after our drinks were brought to us, the rude waiter came and asked for our order. When we told the waiter that someone else already took our order, she rudely said, "Just give me it again."
The tables at the restaurant were wooden and had dents in them. The youngest person in my family, who was barely in her double digits, had slid the part of the fork which you hold into one of the crevices for fun. This was not breaking, damaging, or affecting anyone or anything.
The rude waiter actually grabbed the fork almost a second after the girl in my family had put it in and said, "Don't do that, you'll get the fork dirty."
The only other female, besides me, in my party was the little girl, so we were all irritated by the fact that this witch had grabbed her fork with her dirty fingers, which have touched many other things and may have Covid on them for all I know, and expected her to use the fork again.
And the owner goes on about COVID-19 protection and safety for their customers in all of their responses to the bad reviews.
The girl did it again as a result of anger and shortly after that another couple came in without masks, the couple was white while my family was brown, the factor that I said earlier, about how the waiter said we needed our masks on until we got our drinks plays a big role here, and you can guess why. We felt anger because there was no mention of masks in the couple's and owner's conversation.
The waiter talked to us like we were a liability, meanwhile she was making the white couple laugh and smile.
We stormed out with the male waiter chasing us to make sure we paid.
Let's see what response you come up with Mrs. Rude...
Read moreDuring our visit to Taos, we were excited to have a late lunch at Antonio's after seeing it featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. However, our experience was disappointing. When we arrived, there was no host to greet and seat us. Eventually, a staff member (a lady) showed us to our table. We waited for a while before the waiter dropped off the menus. He didn't seem friendly or welcoming. After a few minutes, he returned, and we ordered two Margaritas. After waiting for a long time, we finally got our $15 Margaritas, which were great tasting. However, we didn't get a chance to order food. We probably waited for another 5 minutes before we had to wave at him to let him know we were ready to place our meal order. We ended up ordering the Special of the day, which was a Mexican Combo plate and Carne Asada Street Tacos. To our surprise, the Special of the day was more expensive than their signature dish. The Mexican plate included a green chicken tamale that was very tasty. However, the green chicken enchilada and crispy taco were plain and lacked flavor. In addition, they were dry. The rice that came with the Mexican Combo was dry and hard. The Carne Asada street tacos were delicious. I was a bit disappointed with the food. The corn tortillas could have been cooked more as they tasted a little cold. Overall, I would give the food a C+. The service also needs improvement, especially considering they were featured on the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives show and even have t-shirts advertising it. We are from out of town and don't mind spending money on dining while traveling, but it was very disappointing to spend $120 on a late lunch and have a less than desirable experience. We believe the owner was around but didn't bother to stop by to say hello or even ask how our experience was. Eating out is not all about just the food, but the overall experience. I honestly we can't say the waiter tried to make casual conversation to make us feel welcome. We are surprised that Guy Fieri even went there. We didn't included names because no one bothered to introduce themselves. At the time were there, the place...

Went here for dinner. Mediocre to average food that is way overpriced for the quality of food. After some back and forth with Antonio about some menu items, I ordered the Huitlacoche tacos and asked for no cheese. He was not the most helpful and a bit of a ham, in a condescending annoying way as I tried to navigate finding a dairy free dish.
The tacos came with cheese on top, but I didn’t bother to send them back to save myself from interacting with Antonio more, who mostly seems interested in making sure you know Guy Fieri came by one time. More on this at the end. To me, screwing up the order like that after a conversation about no dairy is inexcusable.
The tacos were pretty mediocre. Clearly canned huitlacoche without a whole lot of flavor going on, besides a bit of funky earthiness. No smokiness to be found nor texture beyond mushiness for the huitlacoche. The tacos were soft flour tortillas and came topped with a slice of avocado and a couple of slices of pickled onions on the side. The pickled onions were nice and provided some much needed tang. There was no textural contrast in the dish and it was frankly a little bland. Definitely not worth the $23 for four street sized tacos.
The atmosphere can be summarized as “we were on diners, drive ins, and dives one time”. The decor consists of a bunch of Guy Fieri pictures, Anotnio in a Guy Fieri t-shirt, and to top it off of course they were playing the episode in which they were featured.
I’ll give them credit that the service was prompt in quick, but not very attentive as mentioned. They never bothered to come refill the water either.
If you’re in the market for mediocre, overpriced food in a corny and tacky atmosphere, you could probably still do better than Antonio’s. I’d rather waste my money eating the overpriced microwave food on...
