Didn't have Seagrams 7, and carried Sprite, not 7 Up...so no 7&7. Went with a Seabreeze instead. Waited literally 15 minutes after ordering it from the waitress, and still no drink. I finally went to the bar to order it from the bartender, who after I explained what had happened did not charge me for it, which was cool. I also told him that I wasn't trying to get the waitress in any trouble, but what was I supposed to do? Found out a little later, the order system printer was not working, so the bartenders weren't even aware of the Seabreeze order. But, that doesn't explain why the waitress just simply forgot about us at the table. The thing is..they were making drinks one after another, so somehow, they were getting the drink orders. Ordered a second Seabreeze, and the same thing happened...15 minutes and no drink, and no contact of any kind from the waitress!! Finally got her to come over, and after I asked her what was going on, still told me she thought she had already brought me the second drink. 5-7 more minutes, and I finally got my drink. Tried ordering from her again, and this time it was 10 minutes before I got my drink. The worst service I've ever had, anywhere, in my life. I don't understand, if the electronic ordering system was not working, why would you continue to use it? The new owners, which I understand were also the bartenders, must have been clueless as to what was happening, for whatever reason. But, you really can't run a business like this sucessfully, and be that far out of the loop on issues like this.I waited a total of 35-45 minutes waiting in between 3 drinks, before finally leaving. That 2-3 more drinks they would have sold me. I know they just opened, and there's always bugs, but you can't ignore customers like that, and expect them to come back, or recommend the place. It's too bad I had to experiance this, because the Seabreeze was...
Read morePlace is clean and well decorated with windows all around. That’s the good. Food was disappointing because everything was way over salted. They use good ingredients and preparation was ok, but chef went crazy with the salt, and I like salt. The real turn off was the complete inattentiveness of the waitress and bartender. There was only 1 other table seated when we arrived so they certainly weren’t busy. My order came out incomplete and it took quite a while for our waitress to swing by for the customary follow up. I couldn’t flag her down because she was nowhere to be found. Same goes for when we needed a second round of beverages. We finally ordered the second round and that takes 15 minutes (no exaggeration). By this time we’re the only people in the place. I watched the bartender eventually make one of the drinks while having a range of discussions with an employee in shorts and a sweaty t-shirt. He sets that drink on the bar and then leaves. Meanwhile we spot the waitress thumbing her phone with her feet up on the hostess stand. The drink sits. She gets up and disappears. The bartender eventually returns and remembers to make the other drink and sits that one next to the other now-warm drink and walks off again. It’s not like he didn’t know where the drinks needed to go as we were the only ones there. The waitress finally reappears and brings the drinks. We all ate what we could and boxed the leftovers to take home to repair the salt overload. I’m guessing by the reviews that this place is normally a good choice but it wasn’t a good...
Read moreMy husband and I recently visited the Pilot House and had the pleasure of trying their Monte Cristo sandwich, hamburger, hand-cut fries, and mixed drinks. Each item exceeded our expectations in taste, portion, and presentation.
The Monte Cristo sandwich was an absolute delight. The perfect blend of savory ham and melted cheese encased in golden, crispy bread was simply heavenly. The dusting of powdered sugar made every bite a pleasure.
The hamburger was equally impressive. It featured a juicy, perfectly cooked patty topped with an egg, bacon, and fresh Gouda. The bun was soft yet sturdy, holding everything together without getting soggy.
The hand-cut fries were the perfect accompaniment. Crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they were seasoned to perfection and tasted incredibly fresh. They were the ideal side, complementing both the Monte Cristo and the hamburger wonderfully.
To top it all off, the mixed drinks were expertly crafted. Whether you're in the mood for a classic cocktail or something more adventurous, the bartender here knew his stuff. My drink (Bloody Mary) was refreshing and well-balanced, with just the right amount of kick. My husband tried the Navigator and and was impressed by the quality!
Overall, Pilot House delivered an outstanding dining experience. The attention to detail in each dish and drink was evident, and we left looking forward to our next visit. Highly...
