I feel bad: I snapped at the cook/associate ringing me up behind the counter with a, "$21 for a salad?!" He probably had nothing to do with it and didn't deserve that. I know better. I should have paid, said you're charging too much money and left. I am sorry about that.

The food here has a nice touch to differentiate it from other Greek places that surround it, as I can say after living here for over 10 years, and it is good, the people are very nice, but it's still significantly overpriced compared to the market here.

The regular Greek salad is $10.25, but that's not entirely the case: if you want to eat it Americana with potato salad, a regular scoop is $3. If you want a chicken stick with it, it is $5.99 when the FB photo for the menu says $4.99. The salad does not have fresh chunks of feta. It's shredded and the salad is mostly lettuce. Look at the photo. At Mr. Souvlaki, I could have purchased 2+ salads. The only price on the ingredients that was the same was the chicken at $5.95. These are Mr. Souvlaki's prices:

"Two People -$13.95 | w/Potato Salad $14.95 Four-Six People – $28.95 | w/Potato Salad $30.95"

There's a surprise charge on the register that says 3.75% is added to all orders. By the time you leave, it's $21.06 if you tip 18%. I just spent that on a salad. I had a fine dining experience two weeks ago and not even THAT salad was this much.

This was takeout. Crazy. I don't know what I was thinking. Hellas, the typically most expensive Greek in town, is actually $11.50 for a salad with potato salad. Even Door Dash would've been cheaper. The food is good, but it's just too much money. The chicken and salad should not come out to more than $13-15. I don't get off on bashing local, small business and I do understand things are more expensive right now, but this is too much and it's depressing because they're...

Without a doubt one of the worst experiences ever. 6 meals ordered including appetizers. All meals arrived at different times to the table at different times except 2 of the same kind. At extensive times in between. 1 meal never made it to the table and was taken to go. This was after everyone was finished and numerous inquiries as to where it was. Imagine the frustration. Added to this there were numerous requests for water which never came until everyone that had there meals were finished. This was added frustration due to all the local’s around us having carafes of water brought to their tables. All being given numerous visits to them and plenty of conversation. I hate to say this and I am far from being racist but it was hard to notice that all this was due to not being of the nationality that this restaurant represents. Our hard earned money is he same as anyone’s and the food is not cheap. We requested that the meal that never arrived to be taken off the bill. The response was “ I will have to ask my mother” . Needless to say this never happened. We went to the counter, picked up he slip, paid and got out of there. Oh by the way , never seeing the waiter again after making...

We recently visited Katerina’s Taverna and Grill. After reading reviews, we decided to choose this establishment.

The interior is quite nice, with seating both inside and outside the cafe. The cafe is located by the road. There are parking spaces available.

The restroom was clean and odor-free.

The service was so-so. They forgot about us several times. The dishes came with salads, which were brought out half an hour after we ordered. Although there were other customers who arrived after us and received their food much faster.

The food was the most disappointing experience of Greek cuisine. I had the stewed eggplant, which was super salty, and the proportion of eggplant to potatoes in the dish was extremely small. The gyro on a plate was also disappointing. It consisted of dry chicken, 3 slices of tomato, onion, sauce, and pita bread. We expected more vegetables. The salad that came with it had one piece of tomato, one olive, one slice of cucumber, and the rest was just leaves. They completely forgot about the vegetables I ordered. We told the waiter about the eggplant, and they replied that they would inform the chef, and that was it. I cannot...

My husband swears this is the best Gyro he has ever had!!! *Since Greece* I could eat their hummus on toast everyday!!!! *Most definitely homemade* Mom and I had falafel and my husband had Gyro. But, we have already picked out our next choices for later. The whole menu looked delicious. ( I just have certain lunch dishes that I test out new places with. ) I can't wait to try some appetizers and I saw and eggplant dish that I will be all over next time😁❤️ Our Nikolai always goes out with us after a run at the dog park. However: It was very chilly so our pup was asleep in his carseat *The patio is dog friendly!* So, we can't wait for another out at the DP. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Tarpon Springs area. Even if it's only for a visit. It's a couple blocks away from the Sponge Docks with free parking right by the restaurant. Update* We went back and had some more! Mixed appetizers, Briam, rice, pita with hummus and my Hubby had another Gyro. *He says it's the BEST!* Eat up my friends!
