Today was the worst fast food experience of my life, and here's why... Pulled into Wendy's on the way home from the mall. No other cars in the drive thru, and only a couple diners inside so they weren't busy. I place my order, but when I get to the window, the kid seems frazzled and tells me he entered my order wrong and that I need to pay a few more dollars, lame. I hand him the money and he tells me that they need to brew a fresh pot of coffee so I need to pull ahead and wait by the door. I remind him he needs to give me my change first.
I pull up and wait. A couple minutes later, some guy comes out with the rudest attitude and hands me my food. I remind him that I had a coffee and he begins to argue that he didn't see a coffee on the ticket. I bring up the fact that the kid at the window rang my order up wrong at first and that may be why. The rude dude goes back inside. I wait another couple minutes and rude dude finally appears with a coffee, thrusts it into my hand and walks away before I can say anything.
The coffee was cold. The coffee was old. The coffee was only half filled up in a large cup. The coffee was straight bullship. I get out of my car and head to the counter where there is a line of 3 customers who are looking very frustrated. They tell me they can't get any assistance. The entire staff has their backs turned to the people at the counter, intentionally avoiding eye contact and pretending to be busy preparing drive thru orders for the two cars in line outside.
I call over the counter to a tall woman making nuggets, she hears me and immediately leaves her fry station and hides in the back. All I see now is the rude guy and the drive thru kid.. they are of no help to anyone. I wait for another two minutes, and somehow my trip to this fast food drive thru has taken me 15 minutes.. i just leave my undrinkable coffee on the counter, get in my car and drive off.
I get home and open my bag, my order is mostly right, aside from my 10 piece nuggets having only been an 8 piece and my food was pretty old at this point from me trying to just get some service.
Either way.. screw this...
Read moreThis Wendy's has always given me absolutely terrible service, and the service only gets worse the later it gets in the day. One time last year, in the afternoon, I was pulled up to wait for my food. I waited for 20 minutes before going inside of the store to ask where my food was. I was greeted by rude employees who "didn't know what I was talking about", and when I requested a manager, I received glares from the front counter worker. Once the manager got around to coming to see me, they claimed they had no idea of any pulled cars and said they were sorry and went to get my food. He immediately came back with my two bags of cold, stale food. I complained, and they really didn't do anything about it. I asked if I could get it remade and he just responded with "okay" and walked back while complaining about how needy his customers were. Needless to say, I left with my remade food after spending almost an hour there in a very, very, very angry mood. I have tried to avoid this Wendy's because I have only heard bad things about it, but every once in a while I go there again, giving them a second chance to redeem themselves, but every single time I am severely disappointed and I would never go to this Wendy's if it is avoidable. It is very much worth it to travel the extra five minutes to the Wendy's on Telegraph next to Pizza Hut. They have provided me with either decent or wonderful service every time, and are very apologetic when they mess up an order and do whatever they can to fix the problem... unlike this specific Wendy's.
Don't go to this location, I personally don't recommend it, and almost everyone I know does not recommend this...
Read moreI wish I could say this was my worst experience with Wendy's, but its not. But this location was pretty bad. For one they only had two employees working. She stated it would take longer than usual because of this. Cool. No problem. Take your time. So we order 2 Dave's doubles combos w Med Fries and Med Dr. Peppers. 2 Double Stacks and 2 4 piece nuggets. We finally get our food. First thing we noticed was our drinks and fries were smalls not mediums. Is it worth it to go wait in that long line again?? Nahh.. next, we both got cokes not Dr. Pepper.. ugh. Well we both like cokes, so we will deal with that... oh man, our nuggets are missing.. dang it. Get back in line.. so while we are back in line waiting for 15 minutes, we both realized the cheese was missing on our sandwiches too... ummm I ain't having that. My husband scarfed his down, but I was going to wait. We got back in line and explained what happened.. and she was like ohhh. Ok... do you want your nuggets??? Uhhhh yeah! And my cheese! We get up to the window and she apologized and said we were all set.. as my husband is driving off, I was like you should check the bag before you drive away.. he felt bad because of all the cars behind us... he pulled up and opened the bag and there was one 4 piece and no cheese.... ugh! We got in a yelling fight and ended up just leaving. But the decline in customer service and quality is insane. We will never go to this location again. And we will look elsewhere in the areas before we ever go to a Wendy's again. One of these days I will write out what happened to me at another location.. grab your popcorn...
